Dr. Steven Jay Korenstein, MD

I found Dr Korenstein to be knowledgeable and helpful. I also liked that he is not quick at advising pills..instead he leans toward natural ways to heal.

Doesn't mean he's a bad doctor, but I've never felt that he valued me as a patient or respected my concerns for my personal health.

I, and other family members have seen Dr. Korenstein numerous times. We have found him to be personable and an excellent doctor. He has never been pompous or flippant. He spends time with us and listens to what we are saying, and treats accordingly. I feel as if some patients go in to Doctors with expectations, whether it is due to self (google searches) “diagnoses” or other (my uncle, friend, brother, had the same issue) non-professional “diagnoses”. Often times there are expectations that aren’t the best course, and when they don’t get what they want, they are upset. I’ve worked in the medical field since 1980, I am not affiliated with this clinic, other than as a patient. I have never had an issue with Dr. Korenstein or any of his partners.

The office staff are fine and professional. but as for my experience with my now past primary physician, for someone who graduated from a third-world diploma-mill medical school a few short years ago, Dr. Korenstein sure is full of himself. He substitutes his hasty, lightly-trained assumptions for a competant diagnosis. Avoid.

Because my regular physician was unavailable I saw Dr. Korentstein. He sent me to physical therapy after a very brief examination and when I got to PT I had 3 visits and was told PT could not help and I had to see an orthopedic surgeon. Then Dr. Korentstein ordered and MRI without my having even seen an orthopedic surgeon. I agree with the other reviewer that he was arrogant, and certainly did not spend enough time to really examine my area of pain?

He's very unprofessional and arrogant. He told me that he had no records of a procedure I'd done a couple of years before. He asked if I actually did go. I said of course I did. He said it didn't appear so. The next visit I brought proof, but he could care less. He's a poor choice if you have a choice.
