Dr. Kottke was born and raised in Duluth and graduated from East High School in 1993. He earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1997 and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry 2001. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Denver to work in a private practice for 3 years and then spent 7 years in a group practice setting in Minneapolis before returning to Duluth in January 2011 to become a member of Lake Superior Dental Associate's dental team.Â
It had been Dr. Kottke's hope and dream to return to Duluth to live and practice dentistry. He also had a personal goal to practice in a group setting that could offer additional educational opportunities through mentorship with his peers. So, joining LSDA was a perfect fit!Â
His outside interests include spending time with family, friends, and his dog "Molly." He also keeps active with tennis, golf, running, and hockey. Â
