I had an ectopic pregnancy, one of the worst experiences of my life. There’s nothing that can be done. It took a very thoughtful, caring person underneath all the training and expertise to help me quickly get through denial to acceptance, in order to be clear headed enough about how to proceed. Trust me. You want a professional who will be good to you when the news is good (most often) and the hard part of Obstetrics, on the very rare occasions when it isn’t. Thank you, Dr Laifer.

Zero stars.Incorrect diagnosis. He said the baby was on the big side and suggested an early induction. Even though I had stated that I wanted a vaginal delivery, he insisted induction was necessary because the baby was definitely going to be big. As it was, my baby turned out to be on the small side. The induction failed and I had to be given a C-section, which I had really wanted to avoid.I would not recommend him at all if you are in a high risk pregnancy.

I had to change to a doctor with a human side. He was very negative when responding to my questions. He informed me that because I was overweight, older (42), had hypertension and had gestational diabetes I would not carry to term. In fact, he stated I would deliver prematurely. I immediately informed him that he had NO idea who he was speaking to, thanked him for his services and left never to return. Needless to say, he was wrong! I carried to full term with no complications.
