Dr. Steven Ronald Landau, MD

He has been my GI doctor since I was 40 and I'm now 62. Takes his time to listen and is very helpful. I have had 3 colonoscopies and one endoscopy with no complaints (other than the prep). I'm currently having acid reflux attacks in the middle of the night and thought it was time for an endoscopy. Unfortunately, his wait time for an office visit was almost 2 months, so I had to choose a GI doctor at Scarsdale Medical and had the procedure done yesterday. I still hope I can keep him as my GI. He is an excellent guy and I appreciate his help.

After seeing all these negative comments I’m very nervous about going to him for an endoscopy He seemed so nice. But is he a good doctor. JB

Could not diagnose my swallowing disorder. Told me it was psychosomatic. Dr. CRAIG ZALVAN diagnosed. Chose anyone else!

I had a sigmoidoscopy in his office soon after his assistant laughed in my face about it. I called to complain but could not get an apology. He tried to say it was my fault. I did not pay my $450 bill. You should not get charge to be laughed at. My life was a painful nightmare I came to him for help and got laughed at. He Is the type of doctor that would make you give up on the entire profession.

Now that the doctor has become part of Columbia Medical Group he is unavailable most of the time. His staff seems overwhelmed and not helpful. Staff is busy fitting in new patients for him to see when he does not time to see his patients that were with him for years. even if your issue is urgent, he cannot fit you in and causes you to see someone else. this is very unfortunate that he does not have any dedication to his old patients and only to getting more new patients in.

I would highly recommend Dr Landau. He is vastly experienced and cares for his patients. I feel I am being taken care of by the best!

Dr. Landau is an excellent doctor, knows his area of expertise extremely well, is friendly, kind and very good. I would recommend him with the knowledge if you have an appointment, allow yourself extra time. Staff is friendly and helpful as well.

I've been seeing him for a couple of years and like his bedside manner. I didn't need a diagnosis, just maintenance for a condition. His staff is quite rude and there is always a long wait to see him when you have an appointment which is annoying.

i had another Gi dr back in 2000 that did not / could not seethat i had severe UC, when i went to dr landau i did end upin hosp for a week on steroid drip; since my condition is pretty chronic, and i am admittedly a little stubborn & untrustworthy of drs in general, esp as the first one missed some rather obvious signs, dr landau has been very good with me. i have had relapses where i've gone on steroids 40-60mg and step-down programs after i've stabilized. from talking / corresponding with better than a dozen people with similar 'level 4' uc / ibs conditions, i doubt that any dr could provide better care. he's close, he's been very attentive to me & my particular cautiousness, and i've found both him & his staff( when there's not an overload of patients ) to be very courteous and even at times have a levity / sarcastic ( but not personal ) humor that i admire. fully recommend! ! !
