Dr. Steven Matthew Lasin, MD

Dr. Lasin has been my Internist/primary-care doctor for many years and when he went “Concierge” with an annual fee a few years back I followed him. My wife stayed with her own dr. in the same practice. When that doctor reduced her hours earlier this year, my wife also joined Dr. Lasin’s Forward Focus. Always outstanding for my care, Dr. Lasin has gone way, way beyond what could have been expected to help my wife. When a leg blood clot was found after an ultrasound and the connected emergency room offered indifferent and cookie-cutter care late on a Friday afternoon, Dr. Lasin arrived right after a call, scattered the ER staff like chickens in a farm yard and implemented a new, much less invasive, draconian treatment. Got her out of “jail.” Then as my wife developed two rounds of kidney stones, Dr. Lasin has proactively managed her care, getting her appointments, etc. he is outstanding at devising treatment for complex, multi-issue care. He was chief of staff of Lake Forest… Hospital before its merger with NW Hospital. The son and nephew of outstanding partner pediatricians, he is a one-man Mayo Clinic, networking with all the best specialists. He approaches medical care like a criminal lawyer that gets you out of jail (as shown on tv, not known from personal experience!). In a national climate of excess and bureaucracy in medical care, Dr. Lasin is a model of effectiveness and over-performing patient centered care.

Dr. Lasin has been our Primary Care Physician since he started out (almost). I consider him a trusted and caring friend. I would and have recommended him to anybody looking for quality health care.

It's in the genes. His dad is a pediatrician and an iconic member of them Illinois medical community.
