Dr Steven Miles Levine

They used to be an amazing office but recently merged with NY Winthrop Hospital. Now all calls go directly to Winthrop, not the doctor's office, where they take a message & tell you to expect a call back within the hour (don't hold your breath). A relative recently called for a medication renewal and after leaving 3 messages at Winthrop was in tears. I finally got thru to the doctor's office before hours & was told they never received any message from Winthrop! This was obviously a financial benefit for both Dr. Cary and Dr. Steven Levine but while their pockets must be fuller, they did not take into effect the impact it would have on patients & it's a real horror! Shame on them after so many years of a successful practice to do a terrible thing like this that impacts patients needing their medical advice and help!

Steven is caring and concerned about his patients. Extremely knowledgeable and researches any issue he does not understand. He is always smiling and relaxes the patient. Every Dr. should follow his lead.

This office is great! they are very professional, and know you by name. Dr. Levine is terrific (both of them) and the PAs are also wonderful. I switched Drs, in 1998 and am just so pleased to have found this dr,

Dr. Steven Levine was the first Doctor who was consistent in his desire to help my Husband find the right diet and exercise to control his hood sugars. He has been consistently correct with diagnosis for both my Husband and me, and he takes his Prescription writing very seriously. Dr. Steven questions whether or not you REALLY need drug treatment and will go back in your chart to examine the validity of statements you have made in the past to ensure your health is aligned with past history. For example, if he believes you may be infected, but that it may just be allergy, he will review and remind you that for 2 consecutive years you came in at the same time with similar symptoms and that it appears it is allergy related? Great Doctor in my opinion!!!

Best family doctor we've ever had. We've used him for over ten years, has been spot-on with his diagnosis and treatments of various issues (in my case diabetes). Not an alarmist, but doesn't let things go either. A real keeper.
