What Dr. Lewis’ patients like about the care they receive from him is that he takes time to fully explain treatment options and makes great efforts to provide both professional and personalized care. With more than 25 years of clinical and research experience in dental implants, he is highly respected in his field.
He has also authored or coauthored several books and book chapters as well as numerous articles for various professional journals. He has been a frequent lecturer on multiple topics related to implant dentistry, and as a consultant to several major implant manufacturers, he has helped develop a variety of implant components and techniques.
Dr. Lewis attained his dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania. He then spent three years at UCLA, where he added specialty certificates in both prosthodontics and maxillofacial prosthetics. He stayed at UCLA for an additional eight years to serve as full-time faculty at the dental school and …co-director of the UCLA Dental Implant Center and of the UCLA Maxillofacial Prosthetics Residency Program. After UCLA, Dr. Lewis practiced as a prosthodontist in Ohio for 16 years with an emphasis on implant dentistry. He joined ClearChoice in 2009.
Dr. Lewis served on the board of directors of the Academy of Osseointegration—the leading professional association for implant dentistry, with over 6,000 members in 70 countries—for nine years, ultimately serving as president in 2008–2009.
