Steven Lietman, MD

Dr. Lietman is VERY thorough and professional at all times. You can tell he cares deeply about his patients. He makes sure you understand his instructions and is always happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Dr. Leitman diagnosed a problem with my knees that had been missed by my previous surgeon. I was very pleased with his thoroughness.

This so-called “Professional” proceeded to run down the surgeon who had successfully replaced my right knee, saying he had to fix the infections this other surgeon had done. Then he refused to replace my left knee because “all the doctors at Geisinger agreed not to operate on patients with a high BMI because of “infection”, something he initially attributed to physician error! He prescribed a cream, like that was treatment, told me to lose weight, and asked if I had any questions! He was arrogant, and facetious, and challenged me to go back to the previous surgeon, who is older and may not even be practicing! Steven Lietman is the jerkiest Doctor I have ever come across, a choice name comes to mind.

The most unprofessional and uncompassionate doctor I've ever met. Was nothing but combative and provoking for each visit I saw him as he refused surgery time and again.

Dr. Lietman visited me every day in the hospital and spent over 20 minutes with me most days. He took me on as a patient even though he is a surgery oncologist per my request because I love him so much. He took the time to introduce himself to whatever family or friends were in my hospital room when he came to visit. He returns phone calls promptly and makes you feel very comfortable at appointments. He spends as much time as you need and explains all the detail and answers all your questions. He sits down and talked to you like you're actually a human he doesn't just stand by the door dying to get out of the room like some doctors. Dr. Lietman is the only Cleveland Clinic doctor I like and trust completely. My favorite doctor.

I had Dr. Lietman as my orthopedic doctor for 16 months. During that time he pretty much acted like he didn't know what he was doing. He pretty much was a "yes" man. He didn't really explain what he was doing before he did it but, he made sure the records showed that he did everything according to the book. He had another surgeon operate on me to close the wound and then turned around and undone everythiag that this surgeon had done. Would I recommend this doctor to anyone else. That would be a BIG NO for sure. If you get this doctor, please run, hop, crawl, whatever it is that you need to do to get away from this man!
