Dr. Steven Lis, DO

The office staff was friendly and polite however, the office itself was run down and dirty. This was my initial appointment as a new patient. Dr. Lis greeted me with a fist bump and a laugh. Not what I expected from a Dr. Throughout my visit he cracked jokes, ask strange questions and made me feel uncomfortable. The doctors lab coat was filthy the cuffs of his sleeves were dirty and he had a dirt ring around his collar. I am calling my insurance company (Tricare) tomorrow and requesting a new doctor. I will recommend they not refer any new patients to him.

The 1st time i met this doctor he left me in room for 45 minutes and when he arrived he offered his fist for what i presume is called a "fistbump". i am in my 60's and prefer a degree of professionalism when meeting someone and being he was getting up in years too I thought his greeting was silly and demeaning to his profession. He is rude and hubris seeps from every pore of his very ample frame. It is difficult to accept health advice from a morbidly obese doctor. He had absolutely no interest in my medical history or for the reason for my appointment but i doubt he would have understood it anyway. It is very easy to get an appointment because it is unlikely he can keep a patient past the 2nd appointment. Needless to say I don't think it will be difficult at all to find a better doctor. The staff was cautious but a bit to loud.
