Dr. Steven John Lown, DO

I have a pretty intense case of PCOS and had no idea what was wrong with me. Dr. Lown did a lot of testing to give me a proper diagnosis where my previous doctor couldn't care less. I highly recommend

very experienced doctor! Accurately diagnosed, I recommend it as one of the best! only thanks to him my pregnancy went without struggles or complications !!! This is the first doctor that I’ve met who really helps people, unlike the rest that only earn money on people and insurance companies.

I have a patient of Dr. Lown for many years ! He is spectacular ! Kind and courteous and really cares about his patients. Always makes you feel safe and comfortable.

Great bedside manner and a doctor a once really respected, but I would seriously not recommend going to this physician. Here's my story: During a hysterectomy he (or someone assisting) cut 3 holes in my bladder causing me to get peritonitis, acute kidney failure and other very serious complications. Spent 2 weeks in the hospital hanging on by a thread before I pulled through. Mistakes happen, but what made this worse was he went on vaction right after my surgery putting his staff in charge of my aftercare. These other doctors not ONCE wanted (or asked) me to come in to see why I was so sick for an entire week. I called up to 5 times a day near the end, and was told I was just "constipated" to use a laxative, etc. The doctor in charge even acted annoyed that I kept calling. When evenually went to Spectrum ER and called his office to alert them, I was told by one of Lown's staff doctors "Well, Spectrum is going to be out of my way" and I replied "well, I don't want… to die, sorry". After Dr. Lown got back from his vacation, I had trouble getting him to return my phone calls. Finally, I said I'd wait on hold as long as it would take, he picked up after a 20 minute wait. He claimed he called my cell AND home phone *repeatly left messages*, and this was clearly not true because neither phone had one single message from him (after verifying the phone numbers. And finally, He claimed he "didn't think" he cut my bladder (when yes, it in fact happened), and even though I got an a apology I had to chase him down to get one. All this does not cover the poor care I got from the intern doctor that was sent by his service to take care of me at the hospital. I fired her for a new doctor after 4 days. Good thing, or Im not sure I'd be alive today. (this is a whole other story that was truly a nightmare). This doctor (but especially the people that take over for him when he's gone) are not worth the risk.

I've been a patient of Dr Lown's for 15 years. He's kind, caring & very respectful of my time. He spends as much or as little time as you like. His staff is awesome as well!

He has delivered 3 of my 4 children - He is one of the most caring doctors I have met- He remembers who you are and what is going on -

Dr Lown has been my docter for a term of 13 years and 3 pregnancys and deliverys. He is the best and really knows how to listen to his patients.

Dr. Lown is a wonderful doctor. I wish he was a family doctor. He is a teacher. He has been my doctor for five pregnancies. I thought about getting a midwife, but my husband and I really like the care we have received from Dr. Lown. So we continue to go back to him.

Very caring and compassionate. Educated and up-to-date on procedures and treatments. Wants the very best for his patients.
