Meet Dr. Steven J. Luccarelli
Dr. Steven Luccarelli loves his work and with new technology and a new facility, he loves it even more now than ever. He has been practicing orthodontics in the East Williston and Mineola area for over 20 years. He takes great pride in delivering the highest level of patient care possible, but has always made the commitment to provide it in a warm and caring atmosphere. His vision of excellent treatment is for his patients to have a beautiful, healthy smile with an experience that is nothing short of exceptional. He wants you to feel at home and feel as though you were treated like family.
Education:
Dr. Luccarelli graduated from Fordham University in 1981 and continued his education at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery earning his DDS degree. He was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental society and received several other honors including the Excellence in Pediatric and Operative Dentistry Award. Dr. …Luccarelli completed his clinical specialty training and earned his orthodontic certificate from Columbia University in 1987 and was elected president of his class. Wanting to achieve the highest level of education possible, he became board certified in 1998 and was awarded Diplomate Status from the American Board of Orthodontics in May of that year.

Continuing Education:
Dr. Luccarelli recognizes the importance of staying current with the rapid changes in orthodontics and spends in excess of 100 hours per year on continuing education. He teaches orthodontics at Columbia University and has been a Clinical Professor there for over 20 years. He was the President of the Columbia Orthodontic Alumni Society in 1991 and is an active member of their executive board. He is chairman of the Mid-Nassau Dental Study Club and is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), and the New York Dental Society (NYDS). He lectures throughout the country, is a consultant for 3M and Sybron technologies in orthodontic research and development, and has been awarded a patent in orthodontic instrument design.

As a result of Dr. Luccarelli's extensive training and continuing education, he offers the latest orthodontic treatments including Invisalign, Invisalign teen, non-surgical orthopedic (jaw growing) appliances, and cutting-edge techniques such as Laser Soft Tissue treatment and TADs, which allow him to treat patients without jaw surgery or to make previously difficult treatments easier.
