Steven W. Meisterling, MD

My 14 year old daughter was "treated" by Dr. Meisterling for an injury in her leg. I use "treated" loosely because he never actually examined her. He sent her for an MRI and PT. Things just kept getting worse. No matter the details we provided, the pain she was in. Nothing. After a 2nd MRI and us being in and out of the office in 5 mins w/ no treatment plan or diagnosis, we went for a 2nd opinion. This Dr. examined her, read the existing MRIs Dr. Meisterling ordered and saw on the MRI what was wrong. In addition, he suspected something else was going on, that there are dual issues. We are now going through several more tests, tests that should have been done months ago. Due to Dr. Meisterling not actually examine her, nor spending an actual appt. w/ her, her recovery has been set back by months and now she will be unable to compete in one of her sports this year, possibly two of her sports. As you can imagine this has caused my daughter to go through a roller coaster of… emotions including wanting to quit athletics all together.

I have had Dr. Steven Meisterling as my Orthopedic Doctor for the past 6 years and each visit is purposeful and informative. Dr. Meisterling explains things in a very honest and upfront manner. I've had one surgery with him and it went exceptionally well and I'm heading down the surgery path again. There is not a worry or concern when he is involved with either my surgeries or general orthopedic health.

First time visit as my knee/hip doctors have retired. Very satisfied with Dr. Meisterling. Will be my permanent orthopedic for knee/hip in future.

I find Dr. Steven Meisterling to be a very competant Doctor. He takes his time, listens and takes time to review my problems and I feel he is very good at comeing up with a good next step. He saves the harder treatments for later when we can no longer keep things moving in a forward direction.

Dr Steve absolutely after surgery did nothing for me I was in incredible pain for months later and all he said was it will get better. When everything was done and said I went to another surgeon and had everything redone thank god the new surgeon was so much better and actually seemed to care about me

Had a Knee Replaced on Jan 7th 2019 by DR. Meisterling. I also previously had a replacement in the other knee by a different doctor which I had many problems with and still do to this day, because of this I put off repairing this knee for many years until I no longer could. My first meeting with Steven put me at ease. He is business, which I respect greatly. He looks you in the I when speaking to you and will answer all your questions honestly and so you understand. The surgery was performed top notch, as my recovery has been at a fast pace. Being out on my 6th week I walk with no pain, I stand straight with no bow leg, and almost everyday it changes for the better. My therapy has been good and am told I am ahead of the game. I could not be in this condition if it was not for the "excellent knowledge and hands of DR. Steven Misterling. If or when I need more help I will return to him. I recommend DR. Misterling 100%. The trainer at my son's high school sent us immediately to TCO to see Dr. Meisterling after he blew out his ACL (also tore MCL and meniscus). It was extremely emotional for my son to here he would lose his entire Junior year season. The staff there was compassionate, patient, optimistic and caring all along the way. Another student at school was jealous that his scar was so clean, tight and straight, while her's was puffy and jagged from having it done at a local hospital. We received excellent follow-up care and personal attention all along the way. He came back to be a starter his senior year and finished out the season strong and healthy. He has very little pain or issues 1 1/2 years after the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Meisterling for sports injuries. We also used OSI Physical Therapy in Stillwater and can't say enough good things about them. They work great together!

What I seen Dr. Meisterling for today is something that I've been dealing with and hearing about for many years. He simply acted like he "didn't know" what I was talking about. Acting like it wasn't a big deal. Are his actions because of my age? Is it because he was having a bad day? I will never know....but, what I do know is that it's very expensive to be seen and from what I experienced with Dr. Meisterling I am VERY DISAPPOINTED and upset with how I was treated. He didn't even look at what the problem was. Very careless and cocky like. I beileve that he as a Dr. should be watched because a Dr. SHOULD NOT act this way.

Exceptional, courteous staff. Very helpful, always easy to reach. Surgery results were beyond expectations!
