Dr. Steven Mlodinow

Rude, condescending and refused to listen to medical information given to him. Diagnosed a severe ear infection with massive puss and a ruptured ear drum. In reality, correct diagnosis was very bad case of Mono with spleen involvement. There was NEVER an ear infection, puss or ruptured ear drum...there was wax. Prescribed heavy duty antibiotic that caused patient to be violently ill, creating the potential for additional spleen damage. Made the patient feel dirty and ignorant. Never took the time to do a complete exam to determine the actual cause of puffy face, swollen lymph nodes including one on back of neck and tender abdomen. Second opinion knew the true issue just from discussing symptoms, ordered blood test, did full exam and discounted the infection and puss...as there was none...how you confuse ear wax with massive infection and large amounts of puss as a doctor of 20+ years is beyond everyone's comprehension.

I was disappointed to read some of the patient reviews depicting Dr. Mlodinow in a negative light. As a former long time patient of 18 years I can't find the appropriate words to tell all of you that he is one of the finest Physicians I have ever had the privilege of knowing. He always had my back and took the necessary time to provide me with the finest care, possible of giving. I was saddened when he left the Pacific NW but he left me in good hands with another outstanding Dr. who is still taking care of my needs today. Thank you Dr. Mlodinow and good health to you.

Literally saved my life. I went to Urgent Care and he correctly diagnosed a life threatening condition that 4 other specialists missed and sent me to the Emergency Room. I was admitted for emergency surgery that saved my life. Very knowledgable physician. Kind and caring.

Dr. Steve Mlodinow was my primary care physician for more than five years. He is a highly competent, highly caring and dedicated physician. Dr. Mlodinow left Providence when it became apparent that providing quality medical care was no longer job #1 with them. He refused to be a part of the race to the bottom. He voted with his feet. Like so many other greedy corporations, Providence has chosen to squeeze their professionals to the point where they are not fairly compensated, and working constraints do not allow them to practice medicine the way it should be practiced. We will all be judged some day. Dr. Mlodinow, there is a place for you in heaven. You're a man of great talent and character. Providence is a much lesser place today without you. Shame on the bean counters at Providence. They turned their backs on the community they serve.

Dr Mlodinow is an excellent doctor. He spends alot of time with his patients and his diagnosis has always been right on. He has a great bedside manner and my teenage kids actually dont mind going to their doctor visits.

Wonderful doctor. He treats the whole person. He's the kind of dr. you should take your whole family to. He's willing to get on the phone to the specialist while you wait in order to make sure all is correctly done. He truly cares about the whole patients overall health.

at first I really liked this doctors approach and that he seemed to care about my well being and health. after awhile when I would ask questions he would disregard my question and just send me to another specialist for yet another test. then said I was bipolar! really offended easily when I stopped taking meds that really weren;t working or just knocked me out. after 16 mon he still never really helped me, and I drove a long way each time to see him.. I have moved on now and am glad I did.

This Doctor doesn't mind spending a little extra time with me and seems to genuinely care. He has never misdiagnosed me.

Dr. Mlodinow has been my primary health care provider for many years. I consider him to be very competent professionally. It is clear, however, that our strained system is taking its toll on the quality of care he is able to provide. He is overworked and does the best he can with the limited time resource he has. It is clear that the clinic leadership is intent on beating the horses harder. There is a limit as to when it becomes counterproductive. I think Providence has passed that limit some time ago. Dr. Mlodinow certainly earns every penny he is paid. I don't think Provident's "squeeze blood from a turnip" philosophy is in the patients' best interests.

I've been a patient of Dr Mlodinow for 7 years and I have never had a problem with him. His manner is different from many people but he has never left me feeling belittled as mentioned in other reviews. My entire family sees him and none of them from my 14yo son to my 19yo daughter have ever felt uncomfortable with him. He does have a sense of humor that may seem out of the ordinary, but that has nothing to do with his ability as a dr. I have always had good follow-up and as an example, I had blood work done on one day and the next I received a phone call from his nurse telling me that everything was good. In the past most drs only call when there is something wrong. I recommend him to friends and family enthusiastically.
