Dr. Steven Morrison, MD

I was Dr. Morrison's patient for close to 15 years and was generally satisfied. However I went into him for what was Suppose to be my annual 'Free' Medicare Wellness check which all medicare registered individuals are recommended to get. Granted this was a thorough overall exam including blood tests, etc. but it covered all the standard checks which are to be included in 'Medicares Wellness' check ..fully covered By Medicare. So when the exam was completed he asked One other question - 'Was I having any Other problems besides what we had just covered'. My answer - No, not other than my typical epilepsy which my other doctor takes care of, and my vertigo which I have been diagnosed for in the past and I have been told that there is Nothing that can be done for that, just part of aging.' So no I have no other problems. Well I was in for a Surprise when a few weeks later I got a Bill for what was suppose to be a free medicare wellness visit I had had a few weeks before. I… called to ask what was going on. The billing office checked with Dr. Morrison and his response was that he 'treated' me for vertigo! He did Not 'treat/diagnose' me concerning vertigo! He Ask the last question and I responded with 'I have vertigo and nothing can be done about it'. All of 60 seconds, or less, of 'discussion and 'treatment' for my vertigo!! For which I got a $170 bill! ...which I disputed 3 times and finally had to pay. Sooo, be careful, your free annual medicare wellness check my not be free...

I been a patient of Dr. Morrison for over 10 years. He always spends the appropriate, thorough time with me to 'get the full story' of my problem, ranging from normal illnesses, pulmonary, and is willing to escalate your situation and send you to a specialist When necessary. He once possibly saved my life when he took the initiative and follow-up to have me admitted to a special services type hospital a few years ago.

I took my Son to see him, We got in right away, Dr. Morrison was very nice and took care of our issue with the best of care and attention to our needs.

He misdiagnosed my possible nerve damage as my pants being to tight and did not refer me to a specialist. I got a second opinion and was diagnosed with bulging disks pinching nerves. I fired him!
