Steven B. Morse, MD

Steven B. Morse, M.D., MPH is a board-certified neonatologist and is practicing at East Alabama Medical Center. Originally from Gainesville, Fla., he earned his medical degree from the University of Florida. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where he also completed his fellowship in neonatology. He holds a Master of Public Health in health care policy from UAB as well.Wanting to advocate for sick newborns who do not have a voice of their own, Dr. Morse chose to pursue his medical career in neonatology. His medical interests include perinatal safety and quality outcomes among premature and high-risk infants, leading him to publish research in the field of neurodevelopmental outcomes in infants.He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children, Kaitlyn and Ryan. In his spare time, Dr. Morse enjoys saltwater aquariums, kayaking, fishing, and Florida Gator football.
