Dr. Steven S Naymagon, MD

I met with Dr. Naymagon for a routine colonoscopy and endoscopy after moving to New York from Washington, DC. Based on my age, symptoms and medical history, he provided detailed care and advice. I felt that I was in the best of hands.

Dr. Naymagon is a true professional with obvious knowledgeable technical expertise in his field and a very pleasant bedside manner. He was willing and able to answer all of my questions and address all of my concerns about my upcoming procedure, thus putting my innate fears at ease. His staff was very polite ans extremely efficient. All in all, I had a excellent experience.

My overall opinion of him has not changed. I think as a GI he is highly qualified. His bedside manners are impeccable. But if you are looking for a primary care doctor I suggest you go elsewhere. He seems absolutely stymied when a patient's complaints are not related to GI issues. I think he does a disservice by calling himself a primary care physician.

His bedside manners is second to none. He is highly qualified in the field of GI, particularly UC and Chron's. The only thing that bothers me about him is that he is supposedly primary care as well and yet when the patient has a problem unrelated to GI he seems stymied and easily refers the patient to a specialist.

If you are looking for a Dr. Marcus Welby, albeit a much younger one, Dr. Naymagon is it. His bedside manners, professionalism, character are almost too good to be true. He is easily accessible by phone, never rushes you when you are in the office with him, and explains everything in laymen language. When he is not certain about something, he is honest enough to say that he has to check. I am so grateful that my surgeon Joel J. Bauer, M.D. referred me to him.
