I've been going to Summit Adult Medicine for over 20 years. I have been seeing Dr. Oyakowa for 17 years. He's the best Doctor out there. He's extremely thorough in taking care of me. He leaves no stone un-turned. Great Doc and one of the nicest guy there is. Any rating that's less than 5 stars for Dr. O. is suspect. I highly recommend Dr. Oyakowa. Maybe it is a personal issue with me, but I have had a drastically different experience than these other patients. He doesn't listen or take any diagnostic steps, or make referrals to specialists. He and his partner have no interest in explaining things to patients or acting like a partner in healthcare. They both have also made assumptions and judgments about my life/ me personally, based on little to no information. An adult patient should be trusted to know how they feel and whether they are just stressed out.

Dr. Oyakawa is very professional, personable, and sincerely cares about his patients. He is a teaching doctor who is a good listener and is genuinely interested in seeing his patients improve. I can't say enough good things about him. I have a variety of health problems that he works with me on. My husband became his pt. also; and we are so glad that he was referred to me by my Rheumatologist years ago. He's really good with Fibromyalgia pts, too.
