Dr. Steven Douglas Pedro, MD

I went to Dr. Pedro for an opinion on a possible MOHS surgery as my primary dermatologist biopsied a basal cell carcinoma close to my eye. I took pictures from my dermatologist to Dr. Pedro to review and he suggested that I let him "scrape" the area to make sure basal cells still existed. However, he never took a single picture, did not mark the area to "scrape", did not validate with me the site he was going to "scrape", and proceeded to numb the area from my eye to my mouth. He "scraped" a very large area the size of a dime way below the basal cell area and created a deep crater wound where I had no basal cell cancer. I discovered the next morning after taking the bandage off that he operated on the WRONG AREA. He then proceeded to tell me if I just minded him, I would never have to be cut on again. He tried to sell me supplements and compounded meds sold on the premises. I now have a large, red crater on my nose that will require laser treatments to correct. He has… DISFIGURED me unnecessarily! He refuses to speak with me or be held accountable, DO NOT USE!

How does he just throw instruments onto patients who are asking for help with their skin?

Dr Pedro has been my doctor for 25 years. He is the best. I love the guy.

Great dermatologist! Gave a needless air injection with B vitamins etc. that got my skin turned around and healing from chronic affliction rapidly. Also, recommended the right nutrition/supplementation as well.

they keep sending me bills for appointments I didn't make. he BURNED off my skin tags, that left brown marks for about 6 months - worse than the skin tags! they refuse to quit sending me false bills. waste of my time, waste of my money, DO NOT USE THIS DR.

Eccentric old bird but knows his business. do what he tells you and you WILL.BE CURED-just be patient.

This is the best dr. In Fort Worth. He is very wise. Very kind He has been very very good. Wish there were more doctors like him He is awesome

Not use why I had to take all these over the counter vitamins on top of the rx that ws prescribed to me. After 2 months I really did not see much results at all but I will give him the benefit of the doubt since everyone's skin is different and heals differently. But he did not spend as much time with me in the room at all,,. seems very rushed and not as thorough as I would want him to since this is my face you're talking about here. If after this 3rd visit and I still dont see changes I will definatley change doctors.

My wife had been a patient of Dr Pedro several years ago. She said he was mean, but efficient and thorough. When I had a problem a few months ago (melanoma) I went to Dr Pedro. He was rude, tardy and basically gruff. It did not matter. My life was at stake. Alot of patients complain about his mannerisms, etc....I just smile and think...."Give me a Dr who is no-nonsense anyday....you can keep the ones who are personable.....they may not have the talent of Dr Pedro.

I waited a little over one hour and left as Dr. Steven Pedro did not show up for the appointment within that time. It is interesting that this doctor asks patients to sign an agreement to pay $40 if an appointment is missed. I wonder if he will send me $40 for him missing my appointment. I should not have to wait that long. My time is valuable too. Extremely poor promptness on the doctor's part.
