Dr. Steven Pike, MD

Extremely horrible physician who is neglectful in his care practices and extremely incompetent. He's laziness and dismissive practice caused the very highly preventable loss of a loved one.

Beware, if you are insured with BCBS! Dr Pike is out of network, and you will receive a bill for thousands of dollars even if you saw him for a few minutes in ER. The insurance may not cover for this. Dr Pike or the hospital won’t talk to you. The patient will be harrassed by the 3rd party billing / collection services not willing to negotiate or listen to any feedback. Dr Pike doesn’t give any warning that he is out of network. The patient comes to Carondelet that is in-network hospital and finds out about the surprise bill for thousands days after. If he comes to your bed, ask for another doctor and confirm if the doctor is in the network, if you only feel strong enough to do that. As for the service, this doctor provides the minimum of legally required attention.

Dr Pike was very abrupt and did not address my problem. He sent me home in the same condition that I was in when I saw him. He dismissed me without a script. He did not even evaluate my tests.....I never met a doctor like him. Horrible. The hospital is lucky that they haven't been sued.
