Dr. Steven Ernest Rahman, MD

My kids are going to be 10 this month. We have seen him since they were born. We got no information just a phone call telling us he retired and no Pa or other MD's affiliated with his practice stayed.?

Our children have been with Dr. Steve since birth (they are now teenagers). Both physicians at Pediatric Consultants, Dr. Steve and Dr. Gina, are highly skilled and easy to speak with. Their findings are always discussed and are open to the parents questions and concerns. We have always had sound medical advice and genuine care and heartfelt concern. The ARNP's are exceptional. True caring professionals. They are well trained and experienced in delivering comprehensive care and all follow-up. One of our children has had medical issues due to an uncommon syndrome. We have dealt with multiple specialists for various conditions and Dr. Steve has guided us accordingly. Like most practices, the front staff has its moments, but this is to be found everywhere. We've never had a problem getting an appointment and were always satisfied with the medical diagnosis; treatment options or follow up.

We have been going to their office since my daughter was born 22 months ago. The front office was always horrendous!!! They never smile, never warm or friendly and their tone is always rude. When you speak to them they make you feel like you are bothering them. The doctors and nurses are great so I tried to get past it! Recently I needed a form for my daughter and her school told me to get is ASAP. I called a day in advance requesting this form and was told by the office to call before I come the next day to make sure it was ready. I did exactly that and the person I spoke to the following day had no idea what I was talking about or that I ever called for the form. I went in to pick it up and the front desk told me "you picked up the form yesterday". What the heck are they talking about?!?!? So then the head nurse, Vicki, came out from the back and said the EXACT SAME THING! She said she gave it to me yesterday!!! Who has my daughters forms with her personal… information?!?!?! So now I am freaking out and totally beside myself that they gave my daughters information to someone else. They make me wait about 25 minutes and give me a new form and then proceed to ask me for $1!!!!! Seriously???? Is it just me who thinks they have some nerve asking for $1 after what they put me through? I told them I wasn't paying it and they bill my insurance enough to have the nerve to ask for $1. The next week they called several times while we were out of the country. I figured they were calling to apologize for what happened to my daughter's paperwork but instead the office covered their butt and convinced the doctor (who never heard what happened or why I refused to pay $1) to discharge us from the practice. I am 16 weeks pregnant and besides myself!!! I never used profanity or put anyone down, but I made it known how upset I was at how my child's forms were handled. I assume they were afraid that the doctor would find out they violated HIPPA and gave my child's info to someone as was told to me by TWO seperate people there! Who has my childs info and why didn't the doctor call me himself instead of sending nurse Vicki to call?!?! I am beyond disgusted and I hope everyone stays away and saves themselves the headache!

Dr. Rahman and his staff are so compassionate and friendly...They take such good care of my 3 month old baby and I LOVE that they always answer the phone even on sundays, no annoying after hours answering service to deal with, which as any parent knows how imperative that is when you have a sick little one. If there were more stars I'd give it to them !!

Love love my kids doctor ! The best in town

My OB/GYN advised against bringing my sons to this practice. She told us she would NEVER recommend Rahman to her patients asking for assistance in selecting a pediatrician for their newborns. Regrettably, I failed to listen to her warning and, instead, trusted a neighbor. Dr. Raman happens to be a very friendly man... AT FIRST. Question his opinion and you will see this itty-bitty, fun-sized "man" turn into a nasty little tyrant. Now, if he had the skills and knowledge to back up his tremendous ego and attitude, I would accept his childish behavior, however, this is not the case. He is an embarrassment to the medical profession. He has made some stupid mistakes in treating my children (the last one had us in the ER the other day) and we are obviously running away from his practice. The majority of the staff is acceptable, the wait time is ridiculous, and after venting to my co-workers I have learned that he has a terrible reputation: sleeping/flirting with his patient's mothers,… diagnosing every child with ADHD, writing prescriptions for anyone with a pulse, etc. With the abundance of qualified doctors in the area there is no excuse for waiting over an hour for this incompetent and potentially dangerous individual.

This Dr, and its staff does not care about your time, and will schedule 5 appointments in the same time slot with no recourse.

Best Dr and Nurse Practionar ever !!!! I have three kids and I don't know what I would ever do without them !!! They are amazing along with the best staff ever !!!!

Most of the staff is nice. We've been taking both children there since my oldest was born. When we first started going, it was a smaller practice and the wait time wasn't so bad. Now he's added several additional physicians I wait an average of an hour. This isn't easy to do with an infant and a toddler. I'm never in and out in less than 1 1/2 hours. One time a "well visit" took 2 hours because they overbook. I'm looking into finding a new physician.

My first call to this dr's office was met by an unbelievably friendly staff. I needed a visit immediately and we got in that day. The entire staff was warm and friendly. Dr. Rahman was the same way. Having two special needs children, I was very concerned that we would find a doctor possessing the knowledge and understanding that we require from their pediatrician. After scheduling a consult and meeting with him (for 2 hours) he went over every concern and was beyond willing to make accomodations for my children. additionally, he is very well-versed in autism and the needs of my children. There was not one second spent with him that I felt he was not the right choice. I am so relieved and happy that this is my children's doctor. All around a great practice and not a single complaint. i am confident my children will receive above and beyond the level of of care that i expect.
