Dr. Roark, was awesome and saved my husbands life, no one was able to find the problem, he had to have a quadruple bypass. we really liked him, explained everything in detail to us. Thank you

Not saying he bad doctor or good u decide. When in cap and had blockage. He ask me if i had blockage do i want him to stent it i said yes. I had hard time breathing. I had sign paper he had other people watching guess he was teaching. Well i was awake big screen i was in lake city med. Right off the bat he ask some one give him a size of stent they didnt have it. They use a diff size stent on me. Well three time i could not breathe . Ok after the surgery. He came to me ask how im feeling i said hard time breathing he look at me and back at the machine said u breathing fine to me then walk away. Never return or talk to me.told my girlfriend he had to put two more stent was some problems. Didnt really say he damage the artery. Didnt no till later 7 month later .i feel like im dizzy but not cant explain. Just not my self after that. Not saying he a bad doctor just saying that what happen to me.

Through the years, I have had stress tests and nothing showed. I asked Dr. Roark to cut through the chase and do a heart cath. After the cath, you could have knocked me over with a feather when he came in and said "you need open heart surgery". The main artery to my heart was kinked almost closed. There was no blockage- just kinked. There was no alternative except to do a bypass. He and the staff were awesome. This was when he was at the Heart Center and Shands at Alachua General in Gainesville. When this hospital was closed, all the doctors in this group had to regroup and go to another hospital . I loved that Heart Center and that hospital! Dr. Roark now works out of North Florida Regional Hospital. My husband and I still see Dr. Roark for follow ups.

Dr. Roark saved my life no less than 3 times. he evaluated my case and was right on all accounts. I now live in Tallahassee ( okay stop holding it against me ) but I still go to Dr. Roark when I feel ill. It is worth the day in Gatorland.

Dr. Roark is not only an outstanding diagnostician when it comes to treating heart disease but his surgical skills are renown, the absolute best in North Florida!

while Dr. Roark's staff at the Gainesville Cardiology cath. lab was out standing and very courteous Dr. Roark never even spoke to my fianc before or after his procedure to let him know what was going on. Didn't even have manners enough to introduce himself, state his position, or discuss the procedure further as the nurse indicated he would while she was getting the paperwork signed. While we understand he performs many of these procedures a day most patients do not have the procedure often. My fianc is in the medical field and with online research we had some idea what to expect, but a little communication from Dr. Roark would have gone a long way as well. There were a few days after the procedure we had some concerns and because of the lack of communication we weren't sure if they were concerns to be worried about or not.

I have been a patient of Dr. Roark for approx. 8 years. In every respect he has been competent, diligent and professional. He is willing to explore reasonable medical options and explain alternatives and consequences. He also takes the time to tailor the treatment to the patient.
