Dr. Steven David Roos, MD

I found Dr. Roos to be very attentive and concerned about my well-fare. Like many physicians in this particular field, he is rather shy personally but he is extremely knowledgeable and that is what is important to me! I had no trouble asking questions and getting answers. He is steady, calm and in control at all times. Exactly what I want in a surgical situation.

Sorry to say my interaction with Dr. Roos was quite unpleasant. He was abrupt, arrogant, and uninterested in my concerns about the proposed type of anesthesia I was to undergo. Although she didn't say it aloud to me, I could tell from the nurse's expression and her comforting manner after he fumed out of my room, that she was also put off by his petulance. He did not even come to my bedside to ask how I was feeling after surgery in the recovery area. To his credit, I was cared for quite safely on a purely physiologic level, but the experience of interacting with him was so unpleasant that I was reluctant to undergo surgery two years later when another problem developed. I simply did not wish to be frightened by his uncaring and dismissive attitude again. Happily, I was assigned to another anesthesiologist for my latest surgery and could not have been happier with my care.
