Dr. Steven Lee Rovenstine, DO

He is such a professional doctor, very caring, I will see him anytime.

I went to see Dr Rovenstine at College Park to address some problems with depression that I had been having. He spent a few minutes asking about my symptoms and then suddenly asked about my religious background. I made the mistake of telling the truth and proceeded to be preached at for the next few minutes. I was then given a list of Christian councelors and told that I shouldn't waste my time with a Psychiatrist, and that I seemed "too smart" to believe that medicine was the correct route to go. He did give me a prescription, but I was so stunned that someone who has a license to practice medicine would be so preachy and judgemental.

Couldn't ask for a more caring - understanding doctor. He takes the time to listen, seems very caring, understanding, and wants what is best for the patient

This doctor did not even sit down in the room. He just walked in and said, "what's the problem" and I was there for a H&P with knee pain. I explained my knee pain and he said he wasnt going to do a H&P because he could only address one or the other and he didnt have time for a "laundry list" (his exact words) That was after I told him a few other symptoms that could have been related to the knee pain. I explained that I had scheduled a 30min appointment to meet with him since I had a few issues to discuss and get addressed that day. He said he didnt do 30 min appts and that he didnt have time. I started crying and told him I was depressed and was in pain and that I just needed soemone to listen to me and let me explain my problems so I can get them addressed. Again, he said he didnt have time and at that point I left crying and told the schedulers that he did absolutely nothing for me and left that office. Will NEVER return. I heard there were actually good doctors there but HE gives a… bad rep for all of those doctors who work at that office.
