If I could give this facility a -5 stars I would. It start off when they wanted to know how tall I was, I told the nurse I was 6’3” still had to stand by the ruler to verify. She had to get on a stool and stand on her tip toes to see and said I was 6’7” I’ve been 6’3” sine high school and I’m 54 now, not sure where the extra 4” came from but she still but 6’7”. Then the PA came in and I explained why I was their about the pain I was having and about the spinal cord stimulator battery I had removed and that the lead was still in my back. I had two doctors tell me that the lead was causing the pain, the PA basically they where wrong and that if the leads didn’t cause the pain at first then it’s not causing it now. I also told her that I could not remember the doctors name and she said YOU SHOULD KNOW WHO OPERATED ON YOU. She did not know that I have moved many times since the stimulator was put in in 2010 and some paper work had been lost. Now the doctor comes in, I again told my… history and got the same attitude from the doctor. I also explained to the doctor that I tryed calling to get the original doctors name that put the stimulator in but their office was no help, his reply was “that’s not our job” evidently their not there to help just to take your money. Needless to say I left there with absolutely no satisfaction and experience the worst office visit ever. Please save yourself some time resurch before seeing this office (Virginia Brain and Spine Center Dr Schopic and PA McNeil)

I wouldn’t wish my worst enemy to have Dr Schopick as their surgeon! When my husband started having problems just days after surgery we were pushed away by this dr and told to go to pain management. This is why so many people are addictions drugs . Thankfully we knew something wasn’t right and went for a second opinion and our gut feeling was right and the surgery had to be done completely over ! Do your research before you have any surgeon cut you open!!!

Rude man. He shows little interest in what patients try to tell him. I had waited over 2 hours to see him. He spent less than 3 minutes with me. Told me I had nothing wrong with my back and neck. I have 3 ruptured discs in my back and 2 in my neck.

everything was great. i have no pain and can move again

Iam a family member who has been trying to get resusls concerning the fact that ooon 8 18 act was performed and dr Ireland or one of his staff after hearing nothing for days Ifelt a message could have gotten

I would NOT recommend Dr. Schopick to anyone!!! His staff is rude and doesnt return phone calls after weeks of trying to schedule a second appointment, he doesnt review your MRI with you, nor does he take any additional xrays, and I was not diagnosed correctly. He won't spend very much time with you, and I left feeling confused and unsure of what I should do. Find yourself another surgeon!
