Dr. Steven Fredric Schutzer, MD

I love Dr Schutzer. He has been my orthopedic surgeon for my right knee (2008), and my left knee 2010, as well as my most recent right hip replacement this past December (2022). Unlike many of my associates who have undergone similar procedures with other providers, to date, I have had no issues with the ones that he performed for me. He takes the time to fully explain to a patient what is likely causing their discomfort, and what options are available to them, including surgery, but does not in anyway push them solely in that direction. He's always available to answer his patient's concerns. He's the consummate professional that I am proud to recommend.

Dr Schutzer and Sharon have been exceptional in their care availability and their support. Dr Schutzer treated me as a human and not as a BMI number. I am an active and motivated person I was strong before the surgery and my recovery has been great. surgery was great within 2 weeks I was walking with out any support (no cane or walker) and completely off pain meds. The support received via the app Force was awesomely helpful. Overall HIGHLY recommend the team!

Dr. Schutzer (and Sharon Hull) are excellent providers. They are very caring and thorough. Dr. Schutzer makes you feel like you are a special patient and I feel so comfortable with him. He is the only surgeon I know that personally calls you the day before surgery, which is amazing. I've had both hips replaced by him and highly recommend him!

Bilateral knees followed a two hips a year later. I am in so much less pain now. Just need to get my muscles back to normal. Dr Schutzer is super terrific!

Not only is Dr Schutzer a genius at joint replacement but also he is one of the most considerate doctors I’ve ever had. He has done a knee and a hip for me, and I would walk over hot coals for him to do another joint replacement. Sharon and Kiana are also excellent.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Schutzer. He is first and foremost a good-hearted person. He is a physician with heart and soul. He is a person who cares and puts everything into his efforts to help people. I've known him a long time. He replaced my knee way back and more recently, my hip. Dr, Schutcher (and his whole team) is the best at what he does... I am very grateful!

Excellent experience! From the hospital, nurses, anesthesiologist and surgeon, Dr. Schutzer chose an excellent team. I didn't know that I had finished the surgery when I woke up in recovery. I had no pain, yet I was not numb. I felt normal. I asked for no narcotics, and they were very accommodating. I never had any pain, and did not even need Tylenol. The fact that no muscles were cut made it much easier. St. Francis Hospital was very accommodating and efficient, also. I loved the room and the nurses. I was very happy with the surgery, and very happy that I requested Nelly for my physical therapist afterwards. I am walking more carefully than the average person, but I know I will be better than I was before surgery, walking more quickly and keeping my posture in alignment. Dr Schutzer and Sharon Hull snd his entire team were great from start to follow up! Technology was a little different this time with my second hip replacement but surgery and recovery were excellent both times! The Force app is helpful with what exercises to do when and also to count steps throughout the day. Since Dr Schutzer replaced both of my hips, if I ever needed knee replacement I know where I’d go!
