Dr. Steven Paul Seres, MD

I am 74 and moved to Portland a year ago and dreaded finding new docs. Found Dr. Seres who is absolutely a great doctor and human being. If you don't like this guy there is something wrong with you! Nothing more to be said.

He was good at sending me to specialists, but never even read the reports or used the portal to offer follow up or advice. Had not read my chart, reason for visit, on or before day of appointments. No or little experience with diseases of aging. This may be due to the practice at Cascade Physicians: very hard to reach for appointments, long times on hold and I was told, "we do not have the capability for doctors to return phone calls." That means, they have no phones, which explains why it is so hard to reach them. When I asked that he follow through on the patient portal, his message said that he needs family time. What??? In contrast, my PC practitioner of 12 years in Seattle, always followed up through the patient portal, interpreting test and specialist results, answering questions--while raising two children and being a wife. Now I travel from Portland to Seattle for my PC visits. She performs basic tests and procedures in the office; a specialist referral is last resort.… Keep looking for a good PC provider...

Doctor Seres is great. However, the Legacy office he's now in can be very slow with prescription orders. Very much preferred his former office team at Cascade Physicians. This Legacy office dropped the ball on 4 consecutive days simply to fill a prescriptions with Walgreens NW Cornell. One or both failed. I contacted both on 4 occasions.

Dr. Seres is very knowledgeable, and he has always made time to see me on short notice. He listens, asks questions and is genuinely concerned about my health. I am confident in him as my physician.

There is no better internist in Portland Oregon than Steven Seres MD.

I've seen Dr. Seres for years. I've never known him or his staff to be patronizing, or against any kind of alternative medicine as the other reviewer posted. The thing I like most is his willingness to consider anything, no matter how unusual, when coming to a diagnostic decision on my behalf. I am very happy to be his patient.

I saw Dr. Seres a couple of times before my regular doctor moved and thought he was very friendly. But after I saw him on a regular basis I found him to be patronizing, in too much of a hurry to answer my questions, and was very negative about natural options. It was very hard to communicate with him and his assistant messed up several of my prescriptions. I ended up leaving Cascade Physcians and now am with a doctor who really takes the time with me and cares.

Dr. Steven Seres has been an exceptional dr. I would recommend, and have recommended him to many of my colleagues. He is professional yet has a very tender heart and goes above and beyond to make sure that what ever problem I am facing, he will help me to resolve that problem. I will stay with him as long as I can, he is one amazing doctor!
