Dr. Steven Carl Shapiro, MD

Shapiro walked into the room looked at me and didn’t know what the lesions were, then turned around and stormed out in a fury-he never said a word to me. Nurse immediately came in and apologized saying he was mad bc he didn’t know what was wrong with my skin. He has zero communication skills, and big anger/control issues. My lesions turned out to be skin cancer found by my GP who suggested I go back to Shapiro for tmt since I had already been to him(we declined)..husband told him about the 1st visit..said he heard that about him. Since then it seems to be all I hear. Wow!

Dr. Shapiro not only took one look at my daughter & diagnosed her condition immediately, he remedied her condition with one visit. He also looked at the Rxs that other pediatricians had prescribed for her & said that they were not safe around her eyes & couldn’t believe that Drs had prescribed them!! I am thankful for Dr. Shapiro & will certainly recommend him to others! No, he is not one of those Drs with a “warm and fuzzy” demeanor, but if you want a Dr that will help you, he’s your guy!!

Every time I went he only took a few seconds to look at my problem and quickly wrote a prescription and that was it. I had to come back two more times because nothing he prescribed helped, and on the third visit he told me that I had what I asked him about on the first visit that he said wasn't the problem.

He came in the room, looked at me, took off his glasses and said it was all in my head and left the room. Told me not to even go to any other doctor. I was very ill. I went to Oschner's and was diagnosised with Pernicious and Severe Iron Defiency Anemia.

I didnt like his staff or him they are rude and have no customer service skills!
