Dr. Steven Shechtman, MD

My Children have seen Dr. Shechtman for the past 27 years. Just recently his staff accepted my BlueCross Insurance for a routine physical and booster shots. Afterwards they said they wouldn't accept my insurance and want me to pay$700 for a wellness visit which is supposed to be completely covered by insurance. I have agreed to pay the amount which the insurance would reimburse Dr. Shectman for and asked him to waive the rest. He won't. In 27 years I have always paid for services the day of. Dr. Shechtman's office made a mistake but are not willing to work on an acceptable solution for all those involved. His staff also refuses to let me speak to him either on the phone or in person. They claim he can't speak to patients!! Extremely unprofessional and utterly disappointing.

He has been our pediatrician for nearly 20 years, and our family does not have enough terrific things to say about Dr. Steven Shechtman. He is an outstanding doctor, one we will be very sad to leave one day.

My children have been with Dr. Shechtman for 18 years and I have been vary pleased. He is the best doctor, vary caring, and thru, and am glad to know that he can take care of my children through college. Thank you Dr. Shechtman!

My children have been Dr Shechtman's (Shecky as my children have always called him)patient's for almost 16 years. He was our first pediatrician and will be our only! He was very intrigal in helping save my first daughters life in her first 6 weeks and for that I will always be greatful. His staff of nurses have always been very helpful and give their personal touch to each visit. We moved to Wisconsin 3 years ago and we all insist on driving the distance to see this very special doctor and his staff!
