Dr. Steven Christopher Sinderman, MD

I am a young college student in South Carolina who was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and PTSD. I was a patient of Dr. Sinderman (if I can even call him a doctor at this point) and the treatment I was given was appalling. He would spend all of 3 minutes with me a day, during which he would constantly interrupt me and put words into my mouth. He recorded inaccurate data into my charts and then made me wait for an additional 3 hours to be discharged after all of my paperwork was completed. To make matters worse, he did not fax my paperwork over to my school and I was made to wait an additional 2 days to return to classes. He does not care for his patients at all and does not understand dosages and I would be very frightened to see him on a regular basis.

Dr. Sinderman is too conservative in his treatment of mental disorders. Found it very difficult to establish good doctor-patient rapport. I got the impression his main concern was medication management, not patient care.
