Dr. Steven R Sperling, MD

I have been seeing Dr Sperling since I was a kid. He is the only doctor I have ever seen that truly loves his job and cares about people. No matter what he has going on, he always takes the time to explain what is going on with my health. I had a follow up with him recently after being discharged from the hospital ER for a very scary health issue. He explained my blood work and test results, and put my mind at ease. Even when he was very sick himself a few years ago with a very serious illness, he never missed an app't and I have to see him every month. How he handled his illness and kept a positive outlook was an inspiration to me. He never let his practice or patients suffer even when he was very sick himself. I hope he doesn't leave the area, because I will never find another doctor as wonderful as him. I just had to have an insurance exam with an ortho doctor and it really reminded me again of what a great doctor Dr Sperling is. The ortho doctor treated me like a number… and was rude and abrupt, and couldn't care less. I don't even think he realized he was treating a human being with feelings and was just out to make a lot of bucks that he didn't deserve. I wish all doctors cared like Dr Sperling does. I feel very lucky to have him for my family doctor!

Horrible. ..stopped being a good doctor after ten years. Left me without my medical needs.

This Doctor is closed to accepting new patients, love the wait time, always able to see someone even if it's just a nurse practioner within 3 days, often can call and get a same day appointment.Prompt. Have been to the office many times for various problems, and check-ups in the past 7 years and rarely had to wait more than 10 minutes. The few times I did have to wait, were very pleasant, lots of lovely artwork on the walls, and a tv to watch the news/weather on while you wait. Compared to other doctors/specialists where I've had to wait half an hour to an hour and a half or longer, I really appreciate the speedy service.Individual attention, this was a lot better when I was paying my own way out of pocket in advance. Since accepting medicaid I've only been allowed to set up appointments with nurse practioners at this practice.I usually pick the morning appointment as it seems to get more crowded with longer wait times in the later afternoon.
