Dr. Steven Kenneth Staires, MD

I've been seeing this man for about a year. Rude. Uncaring.pure dee demon. I'm tired of getting into it with him. O and the people at him office are all miserable. Took a shot again today in my back , and I still hurting. Smh Don't waste your time going there.

I've been a patient for many years and find him very professional. When other areas started giving me trouble he listened and helped in that treatment also. He dropped a testing laborotory patients had horrible results with, began taking insurance companies when many long-term patients would have had to leave him, and accepts medicare when many doctors do not. He is not a "pill mill" doctor and will prescribe physical therapy, massage therapy and other modes for patients to take charge of their ailments. Chronic pain in many areas has no clear cut solution so being an informed patient and helping yourself is a must in this field. The staff is professional, prompt, courteous and helpful also.

I met this doctor outside of the hospital and I have never met such a mean, arrogant person who gets off on belittling people. He clearly does not care about people and enjoys putting them down for no reason. He has a huge complex and thinks he is superior to everyone around him.

I have been seeing him for years. I have had problems with him from the beginning. He will write me a prescription and then cancel it so I’m in a bind for he weekend. They don’t answer the phone over there and no one seems to like their job. I feel like they hate their parents and are rude to me. Mrs. Brooke is the only decent person there and she is very personable. She is the only reason I still go.

Sassy and mean. Trust me.

I have been a patient of Dr. Staires for a few years now. People can post what they would like about him but he is a very good doctor. If you are drug seeking then he is obviously not the doctor for you. He is to the point and if you follow his instructions you will not have any problems with him or the office staff. I have also had several injections with him and no problems with him there either.

He is the worst doctor ever. He doesn't Care to listen to you. He treats you like a junkie. After he gives you a high dose of pain meds he lets you go, even if he has to make up a reason. His nurses are rude and it sounds like they actually makes the decisions. If you are in pain this is not the doctor for you

This man is the most rude doctor I have ever encountered. I was referred to him for an epidural steroid injection to delay a multilevel lumbar fusion surgery. I have been in extreme pain for months and the morning of the procedure I was in unbearable pain. I heard him fuss at a nurse (belittling is more like it). When I told him I've been having pain for months, he said that's not what my previous Dr said. He treated me like a liar. I was assured before the procedure that I would not feel pain, just pressure. I was also assured the medication would provide amnesia effects and I would not remember it. Well, I felt everything and I remember everything. When I felt a crunching pain in my back, I screamed out in pain and was scolded like a child for moving. I guess that's what I get for being under 30 because he sounded a lot more gentle to an older patient. This man's bedside manner was atrocious and I would not seek his help if he were the last man on earth and I was dying.

At first,OK then he will put you on strong meds for a short time,then he may read something somewhere and will cut you off the med's and let you go.Please stay away from him.Don't let him do injections on you,he has no clue what he is doing,he will hurt you then release you.
