Dr. Steven Nicholas Sterious, MD

I called the Office to have a Prescription renewed and called into the Save On Pharmacy in Jeffersonvill Pa. This was in the afternoon @2pm on a Thursday. I went over what I needed with Emily and she assured me it was no problem since it was a prescription I've been on for a couple of years now. I did not hear from the Pharmacy after a couple of days so I called them, they said that Dr. STERIOUS office never called it it. Since it was the weekend I waited until Monday to call the Dr's Office. I explained the situation and was told that Emily would call me back ASAP. I received my call back late the next day. Emily assured me she had called in the Prescription, when I told her I had spoken to the Pharmacy and the assured me it had not been called in she assured me that it must be their fault and she would straighten it out. Again we confirmed what the prescription was for and the dosage and it was for a 90 day supply. I Waited a couple more days and Called the Pharmacy and was again… told no prescription had been called in. Again I called the Doctors Office and asked for Emily. She was not available so I left a message. This time I got a call back from her within a couple of hours and she assured me she had gotten things straightened out with the Pharmacy. I received a call from the Pharmacy a short time later telling me the prescription was ready. I went the next day to pick it up. When I got home I looked it over and lo and behold the prescription was WRONG. I was the correct medication but the prescribed amount was for 20 mg NOT the 5 mg I normally take. Also it was only a 30 day supply not a 90 day. I called the Pharmacy and told them my prescription was wrong. They confirmed that Dr. Sterious' office had called it in for the 20 mg and a 30 day supply. I said I wanted to return the prescription and wanted my money back. They sould they could not do so because once a prescription leaves the counter it is not returnable and I should take it up with my Dr's Office. So I called Dr. Sterious' office and asked for Emily again, she was unavsilable. I explained my situation to the receptionist and she said to hold on and she would get Nicole the Office Mgr. To make a ling story short Nicole assured me that the prescription had been called in for 5 mg and a 90 day supply. When I pressed the issue and said I would be at her office in 10 minutes with the prescription I had she backed off and told me to give her a day or two and she would get to the bottom of things. I asked here in the interium to please call in the correct prescription and who was going to reimburse me for the money I spent on the wrong prescription. Again she said she would check it all out talk to Dr. Serious and get back to me in a couple of days. About 3 days went by and no word from Nicole, I left a message, I continued to leave a message every day for 3 days. I finally got a call back about 4 days after my last message to Nicole. She proceeded to tell me how busy she was but she had made the time to help me out. She assured me that it must have been the Pharmacy's fault but she got it straightened out Mind you I already had the correct prescription from the pharmacy so I told her I caught here in a lie. Huge Backpedeling ensued. She finally admitted that the mistake might have come from Dr. Sterious' office. I then asked how she wanted to handle reimbursing me for the Wrong Prescription. She said that she had talked to the Doctor and he said it was Not his problem and that I should take it up with my insurance Company. I told Nicole it was here office that made the mistake and that she needed to get me reimbursed. She told me it was Not her Problem. Please understand the we are talking about $22.69 that I'm out of pocket for a wrong prescription. I'm retired and on a Fixed Income. You would think that Dr.Steroius would reack into the Petty cash draw and reimburse me. Especially since Ice been a patient of his for over 3 years. I told Nicole I would give her until this Friday to rectify the situation it is now Friday at 4:35 pm and I posting this.

Dr. Steven Sterious diagnosed my dad's enlarged prostate and operated on it. He was extremely caring from the first appointment to the surgery. I consider Dr. Sterious a trustworthy surgeon all the way. He wanted to make sure he was not not going to meet any obstacles during the surgery by going in with a camera a week before the surgery. During my dad's stay at the hospital, my dad recovered quickly without any complications. His surgery skills are unparalleled along with his bedside manner. Thank you Dr. Sterious and his team at Einstein Hospital in Montgomery County.

I would avoid this guy at all costs. I ended up in Einstein Hospital with a MAJOR bladder infection from a test given me by him, at his filthy office. I am surprised Einstein employ's this guy. AVOID HIM.

Dr Sterious is the best in my opinion. I would highly trust him with any of my urological needs. His bedside manner is outstanding.
