Dr. Steven Lawrence Strauss, MD

Annual review of controlled seizures. Previous neurologist retired. Dr. Strauss showed personal interest, listened and responded while showing patience while performing evaluation. His review and explanation of his interpretation of previous records was easy to understand and the interactive discussion clearly indicated he was assuring the mutual understanding of MY case. Hoping to see him again for my next annual review!

For my first appointment I find Dr. Strauss very easy to talk . I explain my circumstances he tested to see if I actually had Parkinson’s Disease he explained it wasn’t 100% accurate but close enough. I am still waiting on the results. I found his humor lightness the visit. I will be definitely going back as my regular neurologist. I recommend him highly with no hesitation. The staff was very helpful everyone made sure I was comfortable . The staff help me with follow-up appointments and phone numbers that I needed.

Excellent listener. I felt so much better when I left my appointment with Dr. Strauss. Very intelligent.

Dr. Strauss was likable and comfortable to get to know. He seemed to be more interested in the psychological aspects of his patients versus there neurological aspects. I presented with balance problems that had/have me being unsteady to my left side. Dr. Strauss did a couple of simple balance/ neurological test and told me I was "ok and these were normal!" I totally disagree! I shouldn't have ba lance problems at 49 years age! I ride a bicycle drive a car and show ZERO signs of balance problems! Perhaps someone needs to re-evaluate HIS skills! The Meuroscience Team had listed him as their Medical Director. I have literally looked up who is their medical director and see that Dr. Steven Struass IS NOT THEIR MEDICAL DIRECTOR! He shouldn't be! I gathered that he should retire from his position as a neurologist. I think he became complacent and was just interested in being "social" with his patients.

Very Professional with patients and takes time with them.

An exceptional, caring doctor who takes the time necessary to really understand his patient's concerns. I've never felt rushed or like "just another patient" with doctor Strauss. I could not recommend a doctor more highly.

Dr. Strauss made me very comfortable, he listened to my concerns, he gave me helpful information and made sure I had a good understanding of the treatment plan that he had set up for me. Although the office staff was very pleasant, they would did not answer the phone, I had to leave several messages, and they did not return my calls in a timely manner. I would recommend Dr. Strauss to anyone who is looking for a neurologist!

Sr. Strauss was late arriving to the office on the day of my appointment. He seemed to be a bit unorganized. The equipment he used for the test I needed was not put away properly and he struggled with straightening out the wires for the test. He was very friendly and seemed to know what he was doing. My biggest complaint is it took weeks to get the results of my test back to my primary doctor. This was after many calls made to his office by myself and my doctor's staff. I received his bill before I got my results! Needless to say I was not happy about that. He suggested that I have a MRI for what he thought was a pinched nerve in my neck due to numbness down the back of my left arm. The MRI came back clean with no pinched nerve anywhere in my spine. So I still don't know what is going on with my arm.

Dr Strauss started taking care of my migraine issue about 20 years ago. He has continued to educate himself on the topic and offers me the newest options. Fortunate for me, he believes me when I say I prefer to return to his original treatment plan. It has consistently worked. He is a warm and caring doctor, the type that is nearly impossible to find these days. He truly listens, assesses and includes the patient on the planning for care. Unfortunately, the office staff and office practices do leave room for significnt improvement. I do believe that if you try Dr. Strauss, you won't be disappointed.
