Dr Suggs took time to listen to my concerns. He was very clear with his explanation of what I had experienced! I would recommend him to anyone I know that needs to see a neurologist…Thank you Dr Suggs..

I've had a horrible experience with this practice. Went for an initial appointment which went well. Dr. Suggs told me he would have my prescription called in by the end of the next day. But the pharmacy never received the prescription. I called the office and no one returned my call. It's now been over two weeks and still no one has returned my call and my prescription has not been called in. Last week my wife went onto the practice's Facebook page hoping to get someone to respond. The response I received was a very threatening call from the practice stating if my wife did not take down her post, they would fire me as a patient. No need. This is not a practice I would ever wish to be associated with again. I have many choices and I would never choose to be treated in this way by a "service provider." Stay away from this practice!

Dr. Sugg insisted on changing the course of my medication, even after receiving my history from a previous provider showing YEARS of consistently effective treatment. Additionally, he failed to electronically submit a 2 week prescription to get me through until I found a more reasonable provider, which has left me without crucial medication until then. Having just moved to the Birmingham area, I cannot think of a more counterproductive circumstance than having gone with Dr. Sugg as my initial mental health caregiver.

Not very outgoing and seems ill at ease.

He's more of a bureaucrat than a physician. His visit was more like an interrogation than an interview. Do not trust or open up to Dr. Sugg. He can and will use everything you say against you. He should be in law enforcement rather than treating psychiatric patients. He is not interested in helping you. He's judgmental, easily angered, and wants to punish you for not living according to what he considers acceptable. He's been in practice for about tens years, and has moved repeatedly after short stints at each office. He practice hops. There has to be a good reason he never lasts anywhere long. He has no concept of the idea "first, do no harm." He made me feel like I should have had a lawyer with me.

Unfortunately Dr. Sugg turned out to be crazier than his patients.
