Dr. Sutherin has provided an excellent gallbladder surgery for me on end of May 2020. He is a great competent surgeon with kindness and compassion. I am glad that he is my surgery doctor, and I will recommend him to my friends. God bless him.

Very professional. Dr. sutherin performed a mastectomy on me and I couldn't have been more pleased with the surgery , since I had to have the procedure .

He is honest about what he can and cannot do. He will refer you to another doctor if you need special attention. I will always come to him when surgery is needed for me or for any family member or friend. Dr. Sutherin is a professonal, and a doctor with a subtle sense of humor. I immediately felt comfortable with him. One week after getting home from the hospital I developed an infection at the incision site. My husband called his office at 7 am and our call was immediately returned by Dr. Sutherin. He immediately called in a prescription for antibiotics and gave instructions to stand in the shower periodically throughout the day to allow the infection to drain. His staff was also prompt in calling us to set up an appointment for the next day. Dr. Sutherin is a very calm physician, not one prone to overreact. I will miss seeing him, but I'm hopeful I never have to see a surgeon again.

I am a 32-year old male in decent shape. I eat right and go to the gym 4-5 times a week, I never smoke, do drugs or drink and my health has been picture-perfect so far. I thought I would bounce back from my ailment faster than most people!Anyway, I experienced a gallbladder attack last year and decided to get my gallbladder removed, I came to Dr. Sutherin with great expectations partly due to some misleading glowing reviews I found online.As with any laparoscopic surgery they pump you full of CO2 to inflate your chest cavity so they can see your insides better, this gas was however not fully removed after surgery so I experienced HORRIBLE pain overnight that made me go to the ER.I was in so much pain that I called Dr Sutherin's office and a few minutes later got a call back from Dr. Meadows (they share a practice), immediately it became evident how annoyed he was that I had called and his sarcastic answer was: "were you expecting me to tell you to do anything other than go to the ER?",… I wasn't amused! they did surgery on me, and then they treated me like a dog when I asked for guidance after they caused me this much pain. I thought they'd be more understanding when a patient they operated on hours ago calls them doubled-over in pain.At the ER they found a gigantic CO2 bubble pressing my diaphragm which caused my excrutiating pain, also they said the pain killer they had given me was inadequate, and sent me home with a prescription after I stabilized.Days later my incision started bleeding, evidently one of the stitches popped. I won't say this was his fault but I was starting to regret having this surgery. I called and the nurse practitioner (Sarah) allayed my fears and told me how to care for it. I couldn't get in touch with a doctor of course.A few days later I had this nagging stitch on my side (where the gallbladder was), that made breathing difficult; it turns out they use some solution to clean me up inside after surgery and it gets sticky over time and my liver was stuck to my ribs. It's known to happen but it seems too many things were going wrong at this point.A couple of weeks later I went in for a second procedure because one gallstone could not be removed by Dr. Sutherin as it had migrated to the biliary ducts before surgery, so I needed to had an ERCP procedure. After I woke up my surgeon said he couldn't find anything, I just had an unnecessary surgery and risked pancreatitits for nothing. When I asked Dr. Sutherin he said "you must have passed it naturally". Shouldn't they have gotten me an ultrasound before making me have an unnecessary procedure though?It's been 5 weeks and I just saw Dr. Sutherin for my post-op appointment. Note there was no follow-up, they NEVER ever called me, not even after knowing I was at the ER the night of my surgery or after I had the ERCP procedure. He made a few jokes and said his work was done with me and declared me to be in perfect health.I must say I never had any of the bloatiness or diarrhea issues people experience after gallbladder surgery but I had many issues that seem uncommon and I cant dispell the notion that I didn't receive the best care.Please look elsewhere, there are literally hundreds of doctors out there! I tried to be objective and I hope my experience will help you make an informed decision.

Dr. Sutherin took out my gall bladder a few years ago. He's a fantastic doctor, who actually has a sense of humor too. He answered all my questions, never rushed me....
