Dr. Steven B Syrop, DDS

Ms. A. I have called her twice about not being reimbursed for two office visits. She was of absolutely no help, nor did she make any effort to assist! I also find her rude. She would probably call it assertive. No. If on one occassion, the doctor has to cancel an appointment, because of a personal emergency, and I accept that, why am I charged $500.00 up front for my rescheduled visit because I have to cancel an appointment because of some unforseen MTA maintenance work which causes me to cancel an early afternoon appointment so I can get to my work obligations on time later that afternoon? I am a health care professional just like the doctor and serve the public just like her employer. I should be afforded the same consideration! $ 500. 00 for which I was never reimbursed by my insurance. The when I called her for assistance in trying to recoup this charge, she was dismissive and offered none. I hope the doctor gets to read this and Ms. A. doesn't hide it. I know office… administrators are often spouses of the practitioner, but know that i was and remain really incensed about my treatment. Folks this is my opinion of my experience. I hope you have a different one.

Dr. Syrop is extremely patient and spent a lot of time with me listening to my history and explaining the causes of my pain and helping me understand how I can get better. I felt that his demeanor was pleasant and caring. I would recommend Dr. Syrop without hesitation if you are suffering from facial pain, TMJ and sleep problems.

I have been a patient of Dr. Syrop's for many years and have found him to be kind, considerate, gentle and thorough. He is always reachable during an emergency and provides excellent follow-up after a tough procedure, I would highly recommend him.

I do not doubt his credentials, but I was not entirely impressed with Dr. Syrop. I feel that he did not fully evaluate my condition and could have offered more cues on how to help my head and neck pain. He was not amenable to discussing different options for my care and used just one approach. I did meet with another specialist who I felt was more comprehensive in his evaluation. In addition his front desk person is atrocious, lacking in kindness and compassion. she can not even muster a thank you after you pay his very expensive bill. I was hoping for a more considering he claims to be such a super specialist.

I am fortunate to have Dr. Syrop as my dentist. His office staff, and office are very pleasant. Dr. Syrop is serious about dental health. In my experience, Dr. Syrop does not recommend unnecessary treatment. He does what is necessary, when it is necessary and he does it very well! I have recommended him in the past and would not hestiate to recommend him again.
