Dr. Steven James Thibault, MD

Had a great visit with Dr. Thibault. He and his staff at Silver Pine physicians are so caring and kind. I have been seeing him for many, many years now and he is the doctor to choose as a family physician. He’s very thorough and caring. I love every one there like family. That’s just how they treat you and they really do care. ??????

Dr. Thibault has been my Primary for a number of years, and he has always taken the time to listen to my needs when it comes to chronic conditions I have. There are some idiosyncrasies here, however. Things may have changed, but he would often dispense very expensive versions of medications that were...say...quite potent, but definitely got the job done and would not require a 2nd visit. I saw this as a great thing. He had prescribed me a psychiatric medication for a number of years with some monitoring, but was comfortable enough with me to trust I took it as prescribed as it allowed me to function normally and hold a job. However: If I go to him in immediate malady or suffering his demeanor shifts instantly. While he normally talks about sports or going boating, he will just stare at his computer, ignore my explanation, and say something like, "We're gonna do this and see how that works". Without too much detail, there is a medicine I have been prescribed since Jr. High for… migraine headaches. I am scheduled for a COVID19 test tomorrow and am quarantined to my house for at least a week. I woke a few days ago with a cluster headache which has been getting progressively worse. Not only did Dr. Thibault dismiss this as inconsequential (likely because he wrote me a work note, but i'm getting paid for this time anyway so...?), he actually had the nerve to suggest I "drink water and lay down in the dark with a hot pack. 7 days of headache is concerning. You should maybe go to the hospital. Here's an antibiotic." As someone who has suffered migraines for 20 years, hearing this coming from a doctor of medicine was 150% shocking. Antibiotics? The ER? Every time I go to an urgent care or hospital for a migraine they lay me in a bright LED lit hallway for hours on end, give me fluids, MAYBE a steroid shot that does nothing, and send me home. Last time they told me they wouldn't prescribe me even 1 Fioricet because it "contains an opioid", which is true for some formulations, but not mine. My mother even showed them her bottle to show them, but I was still refused. So tell me this: why can I show up after 3 years of not seeing you via e-appointment and receive a benzodiazepine with ZERO questions asked, but when I present with actual symptoms during a time of serious crisis I'm told to basically push off. I love you, Dr. Thibault, but this really hurts me, and I'm suffering physically, emotionally, and now financially. I didn't even receive good advice from the appointment, nor a referral to a neurologist. I had to call your on-staff person to get that.

A fine Doctor and even finer human being.

He has an excellent bedside manor He pays attention to what you are saying and does not come across as patronizing or overbearing. i believe that he is truly concerned for my well being and I would recommend Him HIGHLY

Dr. Teibault has always been there for our family. He is one of the few doctors around that really cares about his patients. Don't know what we would do without him.
