Dr. Steven Richard Towner, MD

My family and I have been going to Dr Towner for years. I cannot speak more highly of a physician than Dr Towner. Excellent patient care. Listens to your concerns. Brilliant. Really cares about you as a whole.

Dr. Towner was my mother’s doctor for over 20 years treating her for depression and fibromyalgia. While we were always concerned about her being over medicated since he proscribed over 15 meds she was happy with him. After she died from liver cancer he wrote a letter to my father blaming her for her cancer and death. I would say he was extremely insensitive and rude.

I am completely satisfied with the care I have received from Dr Towner. He has helped my manage my type 2 diabetes and blood pressure quite successfully for about twenty years and has managed my general healthcare.

very thorough

After being referred to this doctor, by another doctor, he showed no interest in the problem I was having. I notice that others on Vitals also complained that he seemed to show no interest in what others opinions were. I would neither recommend or return to this doctor.

Dr. Towner is very smart and knowledgeable. Has had great training (Mayo Medical School) and has contributed much to the community. Be warned, however. He does not suffer fools gladly. Be EARLY to your appointments, be prepared and DO WHAT HE SAYS and he will be a marvelous doctor for you.

In my experience, a very competant MD. Caring. Works hard to determine best course of treatment, but tends to minimize patient opinions/views.

I've been seeing Dr. Towner as my primary care physician for several years, and he's always been extraordinarily helpful. He doesn't waste time with lots of pleasantries, but I appreciate that, because it's probably also the reason why I rarely have to wait to get in. I have a number of complicated health issues, and he's been very helpful with all of them, and has also been very respectful of my opinion, sometimes offering a few treatment suggestions and asking me which approach I prefer.

if he didnt have her he'd be out of business, because he sent me away untreated, and undiagnosed, if you dont have asthma dont bother going to this doctor. what a waste of time and money seeing him was.
