Dr. Steven Richard Tucker, MD

Rude office management... Very unwelcoming. Enough to turn me away from coming back. The doctor may be great but there is more interaction with staff at doctors office so if I'm not happy with staff i will leave the doctor. This is such a case. Too bad considering I was a new patient.

I have been going to Dr. Tucker for years. He has an excellent bed side manner. He can't keep his staff. Why?

Dr. Tucker has been our family physician for many years. He has saved my life twice now with his quiet insistence that I follow through with certain medications and tests in the face of my 'relaxed' attitude. There seems to have been some sort of uproar with the office staff/nurses several years ago. Apparently, this has been resolved with a pleasant, well-organized office lady who seems to recognize everyone on a personal level. I would definitely recommend Dr. Tucker as a primary care doctor!

Personable and caring, he takes time with each patient letting you know he's really hearing what you have to save.His smile and handshake are a great way to start each appointment. He cares. He sees you as another person, not just some patient. If only there were more doctors like Doctor Tucker.

After having gone to Dr. Tucker almost 12 years, we are now going to another physician. For many years Dr. Tucker was considered one of the best physicians in the area. A once thriving practice is now a virtual ghost town. Something has gone wrong. He has dropped our insurance company and laid off most of his office staff and nurses. There are times when I felt Dr. Tucker was preoccupied. He was pleasant enough but seemed to have lost his edge. In recent years I wondered many times if I was getting the best care.

real short - I am a post op patient of 3 weeks recovering from rough spinal surgery. I was at Dr. Tuckers office last week for a follow up and he had me do blood tests. He made an appointment for today. I traveled an hour to get there in rather painful condition only to be told I missed the appointment the day before. That was not true. Even after proving it with his own hand written appointment card, he refused to fit me in even though he knows I am having post surgery issues that are serious. He has lost me as a patient and I have already signed on with a new family doctor. Be aware that this attitude has been growing and others I have spoken to have had the same issues.

My family has been seeing Dr. Tucker for about ten years, and we have always been very pleased with his bedside manner and competent treatment. He is easy to relate to and always asks if I have any questions about my care plan. I have recommended several friends to him, and they have found him to be a great doctor!

I just got off the phone with his Office Manager who was condescending and refused to have the doctor contact me. After being a patient there for a few years, we had a dispute over two missed appointments. The office manager claimed she made courtesy calls. No such calls were made. The office manager claims that the doctor refuses to speak with his patients regarding such matters, even if the dispute is with the office manager herself.This, coupled with the practice completely dropping the ball on a poor diagnosis from an NP who subsequently left the practice, has convinced me that it's time for my family and me to find a new family doctor.Should Dr Tucker fire his office manager, I would consider him in the future, but if this is what he thinks is an acceptable manner of dealing with the paying customer, I'll take my business elsewhere.This

I've been going to him for about 5 years now. A friend recommended him, and I'm very happy. Dr. Tucker is a great listener. As he listens to your concerns or symptoms, he'll have a host of questions to ask that delve directly into the problem. He's never missed a diagnosis with me yet. I think he's great!
