Dr. Steven La Verne Vicks, MD

It's been a year since Dr. Vicks prescribed the cancer drug cyclophosphamide along with strong steroid drugs to my father for glomerulonephritis. At first he seemed very interested in helping my father. But after about 3 weeks on the poison my father began to go down hill fast and Dr. Vicks was not there, nor did he care about my father's deteriorating condition. In fact the numerous times my father called his office, his staff gave him no response and dismissed his concerns and constant pleads for help. Cyclophosphamide destroys the immune system and that is exactly what it did. It also destroyed his kidneys, which is what it was suppose to save. After over a month in the hospital my father passed away. It was agony for him, and for us to watch. This should not have happened. Dr. Vicks and staff never followed up on how my father was doing. When the going got tough, my father was abandoned by Dr. Vicks and staff.
