Dr. Steven Harrison Williams, MD

Dr. Williams is a board certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has dedicated his career to reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery.

Dr. Williams, a native Californian, received his undergraduate education at Dartmouth College, graduating with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He continued his education at the prestigious Yale University School of Medicine where he received his Medical Doctorate.

Dr. Williams completed his internship and residency training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Yale University, which included a rigorous six year program. Dr. Williams also spent time during his residency with Dr. Sherrell Aston and Dr. Daniel Baker in Manhattan training in advanced cosmetic techniques. Dr. Williams returned to California and co-founded a plastic surgery department for Kaiser Permanente's Central Valley service area. After years of service there, he later started a microsurgical …reconstructive program at Kaiser Permanente's Diablo service area. Dr. Williams' expertise in microsurgery and leadership in the Walnut Creek service area led him to many firsts including the first unilateral DIEP breast reconstruction, the first bilateral DIEP breast reconstruction, the first microsurgical upper extremity reconstruction, the first microsurgical lower extremity reconstruction and many others. Dr. Williams' practice specializes in both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures.

Dr. Williams has presented multiple research papers, published articles, and has enjoyed involvement in organized medicine and plastic surgery on both local and national levels.
