Dr. Steven Ray Wiseman, MD

I absolutely love Dr.Wiseman, he is amazing and listens to every issue. His front office staff is so rude and unhelpful. If you can get past that, use this DR!

You may have to wait a while for your appointment but that is because he takes the time to listen to each patient. He is a very thorough doc and his compassion for his patients is way above average. Would I recommend? Yes I would (and do). My spouse and I have been his patients for over ten years.

Dr. Wiseman’s office sent a prescription order for three prescriptions to my mail order pharmacy--three prescriptions I did not request nor consent to be filled. The office manager Sharon told me on the phone it was an error on the part of their electronic system. I received the prescriptions but did not need nor want them. They were for medications I no longer use. The mail-order pharmacy told me their policy does not allow them to take prescriptions back once they are mailed. And they also said they still have to charge me because the prescriptions had been appropriately (from their standpoint) ordered for me from my doctor. After several months of trying to work with my doctor to indemnify me for the financial loss that his practice caused me, he finally produced a check for $250 (less than the full amount I was out) but concurrently terminated me as a patient. I assume that was a retaliatory move for insisting this was his responsibility…which of course it was. I tried to… work this out with him, as I did not want to stop being his patient, but he would not respond. This is so wrong.

The last time I was in I waited in the room for over THREE HOURS! This was for a regular appt, not his urgent care. When he came in I asked what the time was...4:30. That was a downright lie!!! It was 5:45 & was dark outside! That's not the first lie! I just don't get his attitude!!!

Every time I go in, the Dr walks in, listens to my chest & walks out never to be seen again! He doesn't listen, just in & out! NEXT, the nurses come in & pure confusion ensues!! He is a risk to his patients!!!!

Dr. Wiseman has been our families primary care physician for over a decade. We can not say enough good things about him and his staff. He and his staff are always attentive and concerned about our health and well being. I am very thankful to have him as my doctor. Kevin Ward

I feel like he never listened to what I had to say. He told me they were going to run some tests on me, and never did. He’s nice and intelligent, don’t get me wrong but he could try listening to the patient more. And there’s a huge disconnect between his nurses and him. I was prescribed something from his nurse and he never knew about it or had forgotten? It was confusing...I don’t recommend going to him.

When I was in hosp. HE came to see me, not someone I didn't know like most docs do. I feel confident with him--he has taken such good care of my husband & myself over the past 20+ years. Most patients know that he is never on time, but he's a good doc, so we don't mind waiting. With that said, I had to wait a record of 2+ hrs. I don't want to do that again. I appreciate him & am glad that I can depend that he'll take good care of me.

This was my doctor for at least 15 years. I was diagnosed with some serious illnesses and prescribed medicines that were potentially harmful to my liver and kidneys. Doctor failed to do proper blood tests basically endangering my life due to the incompetence of his nurse. Doctor also kept his dog, Buddy, at his.office. this last visit is typical. doctor told me my blood pressure would be rechecked ,a Dexa scan would be done, I would get a TB test and as one of my meds was no longer available, another would be prescribed. After the Dexa scan, the nurse told me I could leave. I reminded her I needed to have my BP rechecked, I needed a TB test and the med still needed to be addressed. another nurse came in, gave me the TB test(incorrectly) and told me I could leave. I reminded her I still needed to get my BP rechecked and the med still needed to be addressed. She took my BP and told me I could leave. I reminded her I still needed to have the med addressed. I have left many messages with nurses to try to deal with pharmacy related issues, the pharmacy has left many messages for the office as well but no response from the office after numerous calls. Dr Wiseman is a very good doctor but the communication between staff on what needs to be done to finish up the visit is poor. I felt like I had to be… the responsible one , constantly reminding them of what the doctor wanted done. also, have gone in with specific complaints, lab was drawn, copy of lab sent to me via mail with okay written on it with no plan to deal with my complaints short of the lab that was done. frustrating.
