Dr. Stewart Jerome Hazel, MD

Dr. Stewart Hazel is an ophthalmologist with additional expertise in preventative medicine who has been practicing for over four decades. He earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed his residency training at Fairview University Medical Center. With 42 years of experience in eye care, Dr. Hazel brings extensive knowledge to his practice. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Hazel is affiliated with Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital and the Minneapolis VA Medical Center, practicing in both Bozeman, Montana and Minneapolis, Minnesota. He specializes in treating cataracts and various forms of glaucoma, including open-angle glaucoma. His practice includes advanced diagnostic procedures such as tonometry for measuring eye pressure and retinal imaging to examine the back of the eye. He also performs optical coherence tomography, which provides detailed images of eye structures to help diagnose and monitor eye conditions.
