Dr. Stewart Hill Tankersley, MD

Worst care ever.

Completely unprofessional and ridiculous. Tankersley schedules appointments at 7:30 am , but does not show up to the office until after 8 o'clock. His staff is incompetent, they do not know what is going on, when I went to tell the lady at the front desk I had arrived for my appointment she didn't even pull my chart or know who I was. Had one of his staff try to take my blood pressure and couldn't even figure out how to put on the cuff. No one ever answers the phone. He was supposed to call in prescription before the weekend and then have a follow up appointment on Monday, he never called the medicine in to the pharmacy. He was recommended to me by another doctor, and after two appointments with him I promptly told the doctors who recommended him that he was a total joke and that it was a terrible recommendation. Overall I was extremely disappointed in him and will not be back. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I think this doctor is very unprofessional, sarcastic, uncooperative and an overall idiot. He took many days to get back to me for a prescription refill and requested I wait (3) months for required blood tests. He had me in his office for over an hour and kept leaving me in the examining room several times for more than 10 minutes. He diagnosed me with problems I have never suffered from. I would not recommend him or take my dog to him for care. His staff does not return phone calls, his bedside manner sucks, and he is a complete idiot.

Dr. Tankersley has been my doctor for over 6 years. Though otherwise healthy, I have high blood pressure and have been treated for it for over 11 years. In 2009 I began having symptons of fatigue, and other just "not feeling right." On a Friday at work co-workers were convinced I was more than tired, and at their instance I called Dr. Tankersley. He was making rounds in the hospital, but quickly returned my call. He took quick action, had me come in to the office, ran an EKG, and walked me into the ER and admitted me. He called a cardiolgist dirctly from his Blackberry, and I was fast tracked. To make a long story short, at the age of 43 I received a pacemaker that has saved my life. Dr. Tankersley has always treated me with the utmost care and concern. I could not think of having another doctor.

I've been going to Tankersley for over 10 yrs, he practiced with my old Doctor who passed away. So the ONLY reason I'm with him is because my medical history is with this office. However, I find Tankersley to be rude and totally uncaring!!!!! He is NOT at all precise with his diagnoses, you leave unsure with what's going on with you. Instead of verbalizing my diagnoses he gave me a pamphlet of it and I didn't bother to read it until a hour later THINKING it was something that he may have to me about...needless to say I am truly praying that God sends another doctor my way and soon.

Dr. T is great. He spends time with his patients and listens to them.

Complete waste of time and money. Made me feel uncomfortable and I thought he was very judgemental. I am going through a divorce and can not sleep, he told me I have sleep Apnea, along with a list of other diagnosis. Prescribed me medicine that is not helping me sleep, but just the oposite, causing even more anxiety.

Substituted religious dogma for genuine medical advice, bordering on true quackery!

I saw Dr. Tankersley when he was still with Highley & Cox, several years ago. In my one and only visit, he was rude and did not listen. After looking at my vitals, he stated that was that I was extremely overweight and needed gastric bypass surgery to correct this. I am a 38 BMI with no chronic health issues - I wouldn't qualify if I tried! He then wanted to refer me for a breast reduction even though I do not have back problems. He negated the symptoms I had (migraine/sinus headaches), wrote a prescription and walked out. I had my file noted to NEVER see him again and I won't.
