Dr. Stuart William Fraley, MD

I had a different OBGYN for my pregnancies but due to insurance reasons, I was referred to Dr Fraley by my mom. I had a very small abnormal cyst but was unable to go on birth control because of bp issues. The following week I had a laproscopy done to find out my insides were completely glued together with scar tissue. He had told me before my my surgery that at my young age (late 20's) he would never do a hysterectomy unless it was absolutely a last option. I was informed after surgery that I fall into this category. He showed me all the pics he took evidencing the scar tissue causing all the pain I was having. He made sure I knew that this may not get rid of all the pain but I would be much better off. It was also unlikely I would get pregnant again given scar tissue had taken hold of my ovaries and tubes. He encouraged me take time before making this decision, talk to my husband, make sure we are happy with the size of our family. He let me decide when I wanted to have the surgery. I… did opt to have it 2 weeks later but he was open to me waiting years if that's what I was comfortable with. At my follow up appts he was awesome and never made me feel rushed. I did go to his office a year prior to surgery for my annual and saw the nurse practitioner. I wasn't happy with her bedside manner and her unwillingness to listen to my birth control concerns. Dr Fraley, however, was an awesome doctor that put me at ease in making a big decision at a young age.

At first when I went this doctor he was very pleasant and seemed very conserned about my pregnancy. Then it seemed like everyday after my pregnancy they made me come in every day for different things they were telling me was wrong with me. The office staff and nurses are VERY RUDE and Hateful, they act like they are better then you and that it aggravates them to check you in and answer any questions that you have. The called me every day because I refuse to go back to them because they told me I had cervical cancer, (which I do not) they leave messages on my phone stating that if I do not come into their office to get this removed they are going to call Adult Protective services on me. I have a new doctor and she stated that I do NOT have cervical cancer and my Pep was just fine.

I would not recommend Dr. Fraley and the people at Community Women's Health. From the beginning, my experience at his office was not a pleasant one. The office staff sits behind a glass screen and would not check me in until they were finished taking a personal call to a friend. Afterwards, they asked me not to drink water in their clinic because someone could get sick. This made no sense to me because at our gynecologists they have actually given me water to help put me at ease and in case of any urine tests. I then noticed all the signs that said "No Food or Drink" around the waiting room. I had a pap smear done and the NP was terrible. She ended up making me bleed all over the table and for 2 days afterwards. I have never had this happen before. They called later and said that I would need to get a coloscopy done because my pap smear results were abnormal. I had this done, and then my spouse and I went in for the results. They told us I would need a LEEP. My spouse and I tried to… ask questions, but the doctor treated us like we were idiots. I asked the doctor if there is anything I can do to prevent what had caused the abnormalities in the first place, and he replied in front of my spouse with: "Don't start smoking and don't have sex with twenty men." It was incredibly embarrassing to me. I ended up going to a new gynecologist to get a second opinion on the LEEP, and she looked at the results and determined Dr. Fraley was completely wrong. (This is after I had to call the office 10 different times to get them to transfer my records.) In fact, she performed another pap smear and it was normal. I was put through all of the pain and humiliation by Dr. Fraley and his staff for no reason. Later I called Dr. Fraley's office to get my prescription sent to a new pharmacy and they refused to do it because I wouldn't tell them if I had the LEEP procedure done or who my new gynecologist was. I will never go back to this office, and I hope no else will be put through what I experienced.
