Unprofessional staff and doctor. Cancelled visit without any notification.

Dr. Gold is extremely intelligent, kind and empathetic. He seems to take time to think about the problems we discuss and has helped me through extreme depression and very difficult family situations. He tends to be quiet, thoughtful and has created a safe environment for me to discuss my inner most thoughts and feelings. I have been seeing him for two years. The office is excellent and organized. He is always on time.

Hallandale Med Center of Hallandale Bch Blvd about 2 yrs ago yes he actually fell asleep as I was talking. I shd have walked out when he was sleeping and reported him but I was so stunned...I cd not think clearly. Wonder what he was on during the day at work! He was critical of some of my thoughts and not kind to me. The phone/sec'y staff was the worst.t I called twice {B4 the fall asleep session }to lv message for him to call me about appt time, but he did not. Later told me he did not get message. Now I realize it might not have been the staff that was bad,....maybe he JUST did not return my call! But the staff was not kind when I told them what was going on. BAD PLACE and therapist...

Terrible experience. He shows lack of empathy. He is critical. I learned that I could not trust him with my feelings.

He's better at helping those with psychological problems due to brain injuries than those with damage due to emotional trauma. Doesn't seem to understand the persistent nature of effects of psychological abuse.
