Dr. Stuart Gregor Hersey, DDS

After coming to Dr. Hersey's office for a second opinion visit, I can honestly say that this is hands down the best dental office I have ever stepped foot in. My two year old child has special medical needs, and I felt that the level of attention, concern, and respect for us was by far the best I could have asked for. The staff was professional and welcoming from the front desk, to the dentist himself (and everyone in between!) As a mother of a child with severe allergies, it is comforting to be able to have a real conversation where I didn't feel rushed, pressured, or like I was being forced into something that I wasn't comfortable with for my child. Scheduling over the phone was easy, and upon explaining the reason for our visit, we were given a time slot at the end of the day to ensure we could spend time with the dentist without interruption. We did a thorough conversation of the issues we were seeking a second opinion on, an oral exam, one x-ray (which we didn't get at our… first dentist!) and a goodie bag for dental hygiene products and a childrens toy. The x-ray was shown to me, and I was also given the opportunity to look inside my child's mouth with assistance. I was never made to feel bad regarding the dental issues my child has, and was included in all aspects of the visit. I felt that the follow up plan was developed with my input and with significant care for my child and family. In addition, this dentist office is out of my insurance network, so I paid for service in full and was pleasantly surprised to discover that the costs are also reasonable and affordable. The office itself is clean, well lit, and conducive to a "playful" atmosphere for children. Having a private exam room for families that require more dialog made me feel at ease discussing my child's medical needs and history. I did not feel rushed at any point, and felt that the time spent with me was above and beyond, truly excellent service! If I could go to this pediatric dentist myself, I would in a heartbeat!
