Dr. Stuart Richard Lander, MD

Dr Lander is THE BEST. Straight forward and really cares. Performed a miracle with my mothers calcified valve. I am forever grateful.

I went in for a stress test and when I get there they advise me that my insurance won't cover it but it will cover these other test. Never once did I receive a phone call saying there was a problem with my insurance. Then when I checked out they said it would be $90.00 and they would send me a bill. I received the bill and it said I owed them $734.57. Once again no phone call or anything very poor communicators.

I have been going to Dr. Lander for over 10 years. He has always very professional. He is funny. Has a dry sense of humor but you have to get to know your doctor. I think he is the best. Always makes sure I get my echo and ultra sound and that I do my stress walk.

Thinks women are hyper focused on hypochondria. I hope somebody he is under the care of a physician that provides the same care as he does!

Dr. Lander saved my husband after he’d had a heart attack. He became my cardiologist and has always been kind, thorough and professional.

Don’t waste your time

I would strongly recommend anyone to go elsewhere. There are plenty of top performing cardiologists in Dallas but he is not one of them.

No circumstance I will ever return to Dr. Lander or Baylor Heart. I was scheduled for a heart cath and prior to procedure he told me it was all in my head and he was confident I was over exaggerating my symptoms. My big problem with his comment was that I had yet to say a word. He made it clear he feels any heart related problem a woman "may think" she has is due to stress.

Gender discrimates, he does not feel heart disease affects women nor does he feel genetics affect women, bluntly told me I was wasting his time while he had very ill patients with heart disease and they were men. Baylor Hospital seems to agree with him as best I can tell.

If you are looking for a Doctor who is warm and fuzzy and will hold your hand while he gives you your diagnosis, find a different doctor. If however you want a competent, accurate doctor dedicated to your best health then Dr. Lander is your best friend. He is knowledgeable, competent and highly respected by patients and the medical community. I highly recommend him and put my complete trust, and life, in his hands.
