Dr. Stuart Edward Lieblich, MD

Dr. Lieblich completed his internship and residency at Kings County Hospital, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Lieblich is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Connecticut and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Tufts University. He has been a contributor to over 17 textbooks and published over 45 peer reviewed papers and abstracts. He is an invited speaker at conferences throughout the United States and has presented his research at international scientific meetings with focuses on ambulatory anesthesia, dental implants, dentoalveolar surgery and periapical surgery. Previously he has served as president of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and following a 6-year term as a member of the examination committee of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (chair of the medicine and anesthesia sections) he was elected to an eight year term of the ABOMS board of directors (President 2009-2010). Dr. Lieblich is on the editorial board …of the journals Anesthesia Progress; Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine Oral Pathology and the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He regularly reviews articles for the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, General Dentistry and Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology Oral Radiology and Endontology. Dr. Lieblich serves on many local, state and national committees in his specialty and currently is a member of the American Dental Association's Commission on Accreditation (oral and maxillofacial surgery) and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Parameters of Care Committee (chair, Dentoalveolar surgery section).
Dr. Lieblich has been recognized with many awards in his field including induction into the American College of Dentists, The International College of Dentists. He was given the Award of Merit by the Horace Wells Society, and was the recipient of the Presidential Award by the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
