Dr. Stuart Scott Miller, MD

Stay away from Dr. Stuart Miller, the Long Beach Memorial Hospital and the Hyperbaric division. Also a doctor named Jasmin Sidhu, MD, who I never met yet they billed for 4 meetings with this person. Dr. Miller and his staff at Long Beach Memorial misrepresented the cost of hyperbaric treatment. It was 10x what they had stated to me in person. I called repeatedly to ask for assurance that I would not receive a large bill later and they provided that assurance 3 times by phone. Dr. Miller and his staff billed over $95,000 to my insurance for a service you can purchase privately for less than $4000. They then proceeded to send additional bills for $5700. After contesting these bills for unfair practices and misrepresentation, they violated federal law by contacting me again with these bills while the y were supposed to be investigating. The unfair billing practices at Long Beach Memorial, Dr. Stuart Miller, the Hyperbaric department and Dr. Jasmin Sidhu (no idea even who… this is), is what makes patients even more ill. I am filing complaints with the state attorney general against all involved. If you need hyperbaric treatment, go somewhere else and save money and the hassle of dealing with this unprofessional hospital and the people who work within it. I'll update this review and paste responses from all involved.

Horrible and an even worse bedside manner. STAY AWAY

It is my firm belief that Dr. miller's lackadaisical attitude about a very serious medical condition cost me my left leg. It may even be worse than that--he may have made up his mind that a woman in her late 60's, in poor health, wasn't worth his efforts. Other patients of his who left his practice and switched to another wound care center escaped (barely) my fate. This "physician" suggested amputation to me on the FIRST visit, prior to an examination or any treatment. I suffered through months of hyperbaric sessions, which was the only "therapy" Miller was interested in. I found him frighteningly indifferent.
